Nice little interview - and they didn't mention HIGNFY (by name) once.
I've stopped watching HIGNFY while the spiteful, smug Ian Hislop is in it.
Paul Merton is the glue that holds HIGNFY together. If he left it, it would collapse.
PAUL was the one that got Deayton the sack through HIS spitefulness so leave Ian ALONE
@@markc8956 Deayton resigned and that saved the programme - he needn't have bothered!
They all knew that Deayton couldn't have continued to poke fun at public figures, when he was so painfully open to ridicule himself. Something you clearly didn't know.
Merton may not be the nicest person on TV, who knows? but I still think that he _is_ the programme now, and that Hislop is gratuitously unpleasant.
