I walked into a library in Auckland New Zealand in 2012 just randomly browsing spiritual titles. I chanced upon Lakshmanjoo's commentary on the Shiva Sutras. It was a portal to a new different world. Prior to that I had acquainted myself with Buddhism including its Tibetan tantric tradition over 7 years of on and off informal study and practice. I could never have imagined a religion that delves into such philosophical depth and soars to such unfathomable spiritual height. Always being without a teacher I incorporated only some of its ready applicable teachings in my daily life without worrying about the mind-boggling metaphysics. For example maintaining the awareness that my conscious existence is neither an independent preserver nor the perceived but the unity of the two. e.g. neither I and the universe can exist independently, which implies I am all that is within the field of my awareness. Today I was just thinking that why Kashmir Shaivism is little known and why there isn't somebody who'd make some cool modern looking videos with nice visuals to introduce this astonishing tradition. I guess I am lucky to have found this channel.

The Dharmics of Kahmir have been under attack since 11th century. The Hindus survived the onslaught but the Buddhists couldn't , the Jama Mosque in Srinagar was actually a Monastery ,monks from Ladakh visited it till the 60s , the biggest blow came in 1990 when close to 200, 000 Hindus had to run away from the valley, things have never been same since then.

When you talked about Tantra Loka and Spanda... It brought goosebumps and tears to me ... Watching Sadhguru doing Prana Pratishtha always brought tears to me that How does he know everything without reading the scriptures ? Where is this all science coming from of Prana Pratishtha? And the Spandana that u talked about Sadhguru has explained that also after Devi Consecration was complete and the Spanda Hall represents and is related to the same Concept of first Reverb .. Thank u Shreyas ji 🙏 you should reach at heights and guide us more because as we are pushing towards amendment in Article 30 of Constitution which DENIES HINDUS to teach their scriptures in their OWN schools forget about Govt. Once this is done then in schools there will be a Wave of Sanskrit and its Revival .. Plz keep posting these forgotten works so that we can refer to them . 😅🤗🤗🙏

@@praffulkaul That's so good to hear.. N sorry for your expellation from Kashmir in 1990 . But with Due respect.. Sadhguru has never read anything nor he has visited Kashmir before his Enlightenment. See , this knowledge that he's speaking is available to everyone of us each one.. He says, "Yogis leave their eggs behind , because they didn't had means to convey their knowing they leave energy cocoons behind so that someday if anyone capable comes he'll know it"..
So whatever he's doing he's perceiving it through the Air and these Energies left by past Yogis.. If you become receptive enough you'll start knowing these things without ever being to Kashmir.. 🙏🙏🙏

@@praffulkaul see whatever is there in the texts is spoken by some Rishi or Shiva himself.. They're talking about human mechanism or rather the Blue Print of it. So if you made a blueprint & built a building and after 200 years that blueprint & you are gone .. But some other architect Figures it out by observing the building studying it.. & makes a Blueprint, then if people after 200 yrs say "Ohhh he has read it & copied it from somewhere" .. This is not true isn't it.. If all of those shouting that you plagiarised it, instead if they observed the building carefully they would've made it.. Isn't it? 🙏😅
& Sadhguru admits "I haven't read anything when my Guru touched me with his staff what couldn't be known in 10 Lifetimes he transfered it into me within a MOMENT"

      @agastya8999 3 года назад

@@praffulkaul 🤷‍♀️😅I see misunderstanding and misinterpretation here...
Today you're doing it.. This very gadget in your hand is gathering information visuals & sounds from AIR isn't it?
Ahhh now you'll say no its not air it's the waves invisible to us but received by the receiver of this Device.
But a telephone cannot receive it like this.. So does it mean that it doesn't exist???
      .
Now you know how whole Satellite and all waves work that's why you know it.
      .
If you were here 30 yrs ago nobody would've believed you if you said "There's a Telephone which will do everything without WIRES".
      .
So similarly there's knowledge this entire cosmos is made from phenomenal Intelligence you just need to become a Tool a RECEIVER to receive it from Air...
      .
Krishna said " O Arjuna all this secretive knowledge that I have given you which Yogis take lifetimes to know is there in the leaves.. In trees around you & WITHIN YOU... "

Thank you so much for putting such a lovely video together. I've been reading Spandkarika, Shiva Sutras etc and 30 pages in, and it gets so trippy - like time-space melt away. They are so sublime and stunning that folks will forget Inception and the Matrix when they start reading them. Have always wondered what all came out of the Kashmir spiritual tradition. Great video to learn more about this.

According to puranas, the maha lingam has emerged during the creation, at night, specifically at midnight 12AM. So it is advisable to be awake at least until 12 and chant Shiva's name.

Hello sir. Can you please make a video on Shivmahimna stotr or mahimnapar as it is called by Kashmiri Pandits is one of the earliest and one of the most recited Shiva prayer. It is said to have been written by a Gandharva (a demigod or heavenly musician) known as Pushpadanta. He was a great devout of Lord Shiva. One day he could not get flowers to offer during prayers. He cut flowers from a neighbour's garden without his permission which he realised later on was a sin; though a small one but to wash off that sin he decided to compose his own hymn to Lord Shiva for His forgiveness. Thus he composed thirty-two hymns and at the end of each hymn he offered his tooth as offering instead of flowers. In this way, he composed thirty-two hymns for his thirty-two teeth.

My personal favorite is the Pratyabijñāhṛdayam. Although it does not directly answer why Self (the mystery as it is called in Pratyabijñāhṛdayam) veils itself as manifoldness, as life, we can connect the dots when reading the verse of Genesis 2:18 which says that it is not good to be alone. The ultimate conclusion being that the purpose of Self (Shiva) is Love.
I welcome all replies and different opinions.

Excellent video, can you please also teach us on Shaiva Siddhantam and Advaita Vedanta. I feel hindus need to know these philosophies urgently, we are following personality oriented hinduism right now, we need to transition to principle oriented hinduism

These books are true treasure of spiritual insights. But my right wing people in the comment section are not discussing the divine sholaks but the modern day geopolitics with their own lens of idea. It's my humble request to those people that please read 'Katha Kohtukam' written by one of the most learned Kashmiri scholars, Srivara.

    Thanks a lot for sharing.
Kashmir shaivisam is so different than other tantra I am wondering how it has been created (maharshi )
Interpretations of ancient sankrit books is nearly impossible due to its cryptic secretive nature as each words have many meanings.
Besides subtle realms can only experienced and cannot be explained.
Only prana & Akasha is real and will remain till eternity.
Its interesting to look at tantra, prana, akasha relating with quantum realms and dark energy
