I love the lesson here, just because someone isn't smiling or laughing that doesn't mean they are sad or depressed. LIFE is just different for everyone.
The "I'm terrible" was meant as a negative thing in the Japanese version too. If I remember correctly, Mob said 「僕は最低だ」(boku wa saitei da). 最低 can be translated as terrible, horrible, the worst, lowest etc. It has no positive meaning.
I’m glad they really liked the body improvement club at first I thought they were going to be typical jocks but episode 4 is where they became one of my favorite side characters.
They're the shit, and a much more accurate portrayal of muscleheads than most shows'. Naturally there are jock dickheads but most fitbois I know are just happy to be improving their bodies and their health, and are especially happy to bring someone else into the world of bodily improvement.
About Mob's power and explosion, the porcentage that is shown isn't about a level up of his power, but a chance of one of his several bottled emotions coming out. So, even though the porcentage has been rising for some time, we never know what emotion will come out, only at the end. Depending on the situation he''ll be feeling angry or sad, etc. Hope that helps, loving the reactions!
Honestly, it's similar to autism. For me, I have subdued emotions, I range from irritated to content, but don't really laugh or cry or rage. However, stress builds up in me constantly, until it finally overloads and I suffer a meltdown. Then I cry and rage and laugh, a torrent of conflicting emotions until I just can't anymore.
@@God_3712 Thanks, God. I know it's not uncommon for those on the spectrum to have some sort of savant ability (though this isn't a certainty by far). I myself have amazing English language comprehension, and could write better than my teachers even in middle school (my pensmanship was horrible, though, and I never wrapped my mind around cursive.) This never once led to me making friends, and as is usual for those on the spectrum, I had little to no social awareness, so I stuck out like a sore thumb. Mob's powers are cool, but they're not really helpful to him in a day-to-day life.
The story of the show is how Mob progresses as a person which I didn't realise the first time I finished the show, but watching it back they did a really good job showing how Mob starts to fit into society and helping people in the same situation as him.
Yeah! Mobs emotion percent thing got explained and we have dimple. The 2 episodes before that were indroducing Reigen, the telepathy club, the body improvement club, Mob in general, Tsubome... Now we really start with story.
This is perfect, because Mob Psycho 100 Season 2 Dub is currently being aired. It's coming out weekly. So when they're done with season 1, they can go straight in to season 2.
This episode is actually mob mad at himself because he let himself get triggered by dimple into using his power. That's why he said "im terrible" at the end of the fight.
didn't know this before, but mob's dub voice is the voice of 9S from nier automata, kyle mccarley. considering how good his performance in that game is I can't wait to see how he plays mob later down the line when shit gets Real
I mostly feel like it's just Aaron who's not completely on board, but I think once he starts to see the over-arching plot and when the artstyle really kicks it up it may grow on him. At the very least I love hearing Eric and Shane talk about how beautiful the art style is every episode because it really is animated wonderfully.

Ive watched them watch this show like 3 times and each time I'm so disappointed Calvin doesn't understand what he meant by "I'm terrible." The whole episode leads up to showing us his emotional complex. He tries his hardest not to let any emotions leak out, because we can see what happens when they do. He feels terrible for #1 letting them out, and #2 reeking so much havoc with them. He critiques his actions by criticizing himself as a person
I cant wait for you guys to see nore of the show.... This anime is in my top five favorite anime of all time .... Especially season 2 of the show... Don't worry you'll guys will fall in love with the show and the story of the show is awesome

I'm glad the dub is actually good. This show can get emotional very easy, especially in 2nd season. Good reaction as always. REACT TO PRISON SCHOOOOOOOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Later episodes will reveal one of the reasons why Mob works so hard to suppress his emotions and why he called himself terrible. As for the Telepathy Club, they aren't an official club anymore. Having a meeting place is a result of being a club, not a requirement.
You know those games that have multiple abilities that have a cooldown timer? That is what the percentage meter acts like. The basic world rules more or less state that the individual abilities- Mob's Emotions, are separate entities from the overall "power level" of Mob, which the " Dragon Ball power level idea" doesn't really matter. Instead, as soon as those Emotion Abilities reach 100%, Mob can choose to activate their explosion. They increase and decrease based on what Mob experiences. But also some percentage levels are more like jokes such as the 0% muscle mass. Mods or Patreons, let them know how this world works :)
"this simple badass show" well the "simple" show is so intelligently written in season 2, thats a god tier anime tbh. I mean your description fits this season, but damn get hyped and PAY ATTENTION when watching season 2! :D
I don't understand how he had to "get used to" the art in Attack on Titan, from what I remember it is standard anime style, unless he is talking about the titans themselves being creepy.
The telepathy club isn't official anymore but they still hangout in the room since the BI club doesn't mind them. If asked they would probably say they were a part of the Body Improvement club if the student council came around.

And just because they are, or seem very happy (like the people in the cult) doesn’t mean they aren’t hurting deeply inside.
Does anyone think that English Dub Dimple's voice sounds like English Dub Whisper from Yokai Watch?
True. It's never black and white like that and that's what makes us complex.
