    Great job on this video. Loved that you stuck to the point, didn't repeat too much and showed us how to overcome challenges. Best one I have seen thus far for making these and I am going to use this to make my own. Thanks so much for giving us your time to produce this!

    I tried a different saloon door hinge that doesn't have the self closing spring. Do your hinges swing open and closed in both directions? I couldn't tell from the video and can't quite see how your hinges would work that way. Thanks for sharing 🙂

    • @PoposWoodworks
      @PoposWoodworks  3 года назад

      They do swing both ways. I can’t remember the brand but I got them from Lowe’s

      @@PoposWoodworks thanks for replying. The reason I asked is because they look like standard self closing door hinges. If you ever remember the brand I would appreciate the info, but at least I know they're out there. Thanks again for sharing and replying 🙂

    I like the Saloon doors that you made! I did not understand what the hinge is called Sir, could you kindly tell me the name of the type of hinges you used for your nice set of doors? Thank you for sharing this project with us all!👍

    How much space do I need for hinges and center ,?

    Hey Popo, I was hoping you could answer a question for me, I’m trying to put some doors on a little pool pump shed I built and I made some doors out of 1x4s and I’m not sure they are thick enough for my 3 inch hinge. The screws don’t seem to have much to hold on to. Should I add something to make it thicker or redo the doors and use a 2x2 on the frame instead? For some reason I can’t understand that part of the hinge. I can’t figure that part out! Any help you can give me would be appreciated. Thank you!

    Hey my friend, great video. Can you answer a question about the hinges? I've got saloon doors already hung and up, and somehow, the pins have popped out of one door. That door doesn't swing back into place and I can't figure out how to re-establish the tension on the hinge to set the pin in the hole. Can it be done without taking the door off the hinge?

    • @PoposWoodworks
      @PoposWoodworks  4 года назад +1

      Bruce Kellison Yes you can adjust them while they are mounted. I used a center punch, or you can use a small screw driver. Place it in the holes where the pin goes. Use the screw driver or center punch to twist the hinge where the pin goes in until you get the desired tension. You may have to play with it until you get it right, but my hinges adjust on the top and bottom. You will know your going the right way because it will feel tighter. So in other words using the center punch, place in one of the pin holes, twist the hinge, then while holding it in place slide the pin in a free hole until it’s the way you want it. I hope this makes sense and helps you out!

      Bruce Kellison Also, the pin slots on top will adjust one direction of the door swing and the bottom will adjust the swing in the opposite direction.

    I am thinking of putting a 'hidden door' in my house, so a door that looks like a book case but secretly is a door.... Is that something you could make a video about?
