- Jaden Newman is a 10-year-old girl who averaged 30.5 points per game last season for her varsity high school team. Newman has played on the varsity girls team at Downey Christian School since third grade and will be entering sixth grade this fall.
Her goal is simple: Become the first woman to play in the NBA.

Okay first of all do people do any research on these teams that have these young players. I don't care how good a player is if the varsity team needs a 10 year old to play they obviously not that good. so I did a lil research on this school. the boys team went 17-17 and 0-10 in their district. The girls team went 12-12 and 2-2 in their district. with a lot of games with unrecorded results. The girls varsity team also has 4 other players that are middle school age she isn't the only one. This is not a premier basketball school. The school is in Florida.

There is no chance of them growing any taller than that. Also, they play in a christian league where the competition is very weak. I think once they move to tougher D1 college (if that even happens) or better leagues, they will get exposed.

Most of the time when people are being guarded, its chest to chest or shoulder to chest. Let's say she's guarding someone right, and they use their shoulder to get by her, it over for her.
