Something about the minimalism and casual tone of this video is what makes me appreciate it and keep coming back to it. The microphone doesn't sound too fancy but her voice gives me more tingles in this video than I get from her more complicated ones.
Goes to show that while more is often cooler and more creative, you don't need that much for solid asmr.

I still remember over 20 years ago in 5th grade watching an old man push a broom around very slowly. So gracefully and delicate that I was zoned in so much that everyone else didn't exist. It was the most calming thing I had ever seen. These video's come close to making me go back to that moment and I really appreciate what you and others do to make me feel so good!
Not saying Maria didn't put effort into this video, but it seems popular because it's relaxed and realistic and casual. It seems like a one-take unedited video and they always give the best asmr

This is my single most favorite ASMR video that I have ever found by any creator on the internet. I wish there were more like this one because it's the only one that really triggers me (in a good way).

Not sure how often you hear this, but I find that I get the strongest ASMR by audio and whenever I'm typing, or doing something with my hands that doesn't take intense thought or concentration. Taking the survey while listening to this video gave me ASMR off the chart.

ABC News just ran a short segment about the benefits of ASMR videos in the aid of sleeplessness. They introduced a girl who relies on ASMR videos to fall asleep at night. ASMR videos are obviously a safe and healthy alternative to self-medicating with sleeping pills which often causes undesirable side-effects such as grogginess and all. I only caught the tail end of the segment but it is possible that they may have shown some clips of your videos GentleWhispering. I don't recall seeing your face because they mostly just showed tapping fingers and what not. They also seemed to do a play on words with your RUclips name because the segment was captioned 'Sleep Whisperers'. Congratulations as it seems that your videos and efforts are not only becoming mainstream, but also serving a positive social function in the world. You have found your niche and purpose in life and it is a great one! Thank you...

Omg I can't believe I just now found this video, but it is an INSTANT favorite. There's just something I miss about the sounds captured by older cameras/microphones combined with the white noise of the room.
It's so clicky, but in a deeper tone, rather than the sharp one that can sometimes happen when trying to replicate this sound with audio editing.

These are my favorite videos that Maria makes. The way she slowly moves her hands is a crazy trigger for me. Nobody can do it quite like she does. And also, in videos like these, her voice sounds awesome! I don't know if it has to do with where the mic is placed while she's sitting at her computer but whatever it is, keep doing it!
Can you remake this video but with the results! This is one of my favorites! This would be such a good remake for 2024!

Matthew Cloister The weird thing, is that an annoying sound can be transformed into a triggery one if you flip it. You can sort of soften towards it and tune into it!!!

Almost every FUCKEN time I click on an asmr video with headphones full blast I get captain morgens shit drinking commercial yell CANON BLAST in my FUCKEN ear and I'm completely convinced that RUclips is purposely making that commercial be the ones you see right before every fucking asmr video

Done. Suprisingly I didn't get any asmr from the exemplary videos. In my point of view it would be better to use a more popular trigger instead of water. I'm loking forward to seeing the results.
to a good portion of people it is a popular trigger. At one time the sound of tea being made (boiling,pouring,etc) was what helped me find out about ASMR and was for a long time a trigger for me (though it isn't anymore) but I think it may be a good idea to include some unique trigger effects. One of the most prominent trigger sounds is that "sksksk" sound.
TheNiinja Water sounds tend to make me uncomfortable ever since Heather Feather did the magic 8 ball noises.

TheNiinja Of course you are right, but it doesn't change the fact that probably there are many more common, and classic triggers such as crinkle sounds, turning pages or scratching. However as long as we don't know what they exactly intended to estimate indeed there is probably no point to judge, so that's why I can't wait for the results. Who knows, it might be that selecting this one relatively less common trigger was intentional in order to prove hypothetically, that those people who are triggered by less common triggers are also tend to be let's say introverts.

I can't even began to describe how much ASMR videos have helped me with my anxiety. People that don't experience anxiety attacks don't know just how terrified it can make you feel. They are very scary. The ASMR community is what has helped me the most to be able to shorten the duration of a panic attack. Anyone that suffers with this problem knows that during an attack all you want it for it to go away ASAP. These videos have helped me greatly. What a beautiful and heeling community!! I always come back to this video. :) You type slowly and whisper at the same time in it... everyone else either types slowly with no talking, or they pound away at the keyboard like they're in some receptionist speed-typing competition.
