Being honest, this song scares me, it’s tone gives off a kind of somber sense of danger, while we’re stuck in some kind of what I can guess is an underground lab or facility, not to mention with what their job is, and the potential of them being the ones that hacked Hex (from the different background moment), they could be very dangerous to come across. The song is still amazing tho.

Considering the canceling of the Whitmore Mod soon, I feel like Updike and his song are literally a representation of Sock (a very important dev of the mod). For those who don't know, after the Tabi Ex-Boyfriend Mod went out, Sock complained about the similarities between Whitty and Tabi Mods. Following that, the creator of the Tabi Mod got harassed on social media (especially Twitter). After seeing this, Sock felt guilty about this harassment considering that she was the first to complain about that. Seeing the toxicity of the community, she decided to leave it, causing the other devs to cancel the Whitty Mod because of creator rights. Nate_Anim8, another dev of the mod posted a video on RUclips (here's the link and NO, it isn't a RickRoll: @ ) where he talks about the future of the mod and says at the end that he hopes the cancel of Whitty Mod will be a lesson for the community of the game. The update that was published after that includes Updike, the character created by Sock, and the song Remorse. Considering what is going to happen to the Whitty Mod and the Wiki page of Whitty and Updike, I feel like Updike and his song represent Sock and what she feels. Updike's objective is to suppress Whitty since he is a threat (he could blow up an entire town if he wanted to), however, his song Remorse is sad and shows that he doesn't really want to do it, but he has to in the name of the Greater Good, the secret organization he works for that suppress any threat to humanity. There are similarities between Updike and Sock: they have to suppress Whitty, even if they don't want to in order to protect the rest of the world/community, and they have remorse knowing what it will do. Even BF and GF, trying to stop Updike represent (in my opinion) the community that will obviously try to save the Mod from canceling. It's only my opinion, but I think it has got a part of the truth. I LOVE when Mods do extra effects in the middle of the battle! I know it's probably hard to implement in to the game, But i sure wish more Mods did cool stuff like that, Hexes Glitcher song is the best example of what i mean. This is a very sad song when you consider both the real life context behind it and the game's context. In the game, Updike wants to capture and destroy dangerous creatures, such as Witty. Updike seems like like Whitty, but feels like he has to be destroyed. And perhaps he has remorse over what he feels like he has to do. In real life, one of the Whitty devs said something she deeply regretted, which resulted in fans harassing another creator. This song was posted shortly after, the rest of the Whitty mod canceled, and the dev left the FnF funkin' community because of how toxic she has seen it become. And she's shown a lot of remorse for what she said. This song hits me in a way that... I hope no other FnF song does, honestly. It's one thing for the game to be sad for the sake of the game; it's another thing when "Remorse" refers to the author's real life remorse.
It's the final send-off for Whitty. Sock.clip had grown to despise the bomb man after Twitter swarmed the other creator, even though it wasn't the creation's fault. Whitty himself didn't do anything wrong. His old design on Sock's instagram page was broken apart into 2 people. Homskiy, the creator of Tabi, has the finer details in a video on his RUclips channel. It honestly feels like all of this could've been avoided if the proper precautions were taken. This is one big Butterfly Effect that's punishing the rest of the class for the actions of a few individuals.
We will never get a second song, we will never have the complete mod, all because people couldn't learn such a simple thing as shutting the hell up. I will always hate the fnf fandom for killing that specific mod, i will always hold *remorse* .

I LOVE when Mods do extra effects in the middle of the battle! I know it's probably hard to implement in to the game, But i sure wish more Mods did cool stuff like that, Hexes Glitcher song is the best example of what i mean. Those transitions are so COOL! ^_^

This is a very sad song when you consider both the real life context behind it and the game's context.
In the game, Updike wants to capture and destroy dangerous creatures, such as Witty. Updike seems like like Whitty, but feels like he has to be destroyed. And perhaps he has remorse over what he feels like he has to do.
In real life, one of the Whitty devs said something she deeply regretted, which resulted in fans harassing another creator. This song was posted shortly after, the rest of the Whitty mod canceled, and the dev left the FnF funkin' community because of how toxic she has seen it become. And she's shown a lot of remorse for what she said.
This song hits me in a way that... I hope no other FnF song does, honestly. It's one thing for the game to be sad for the sake of the game; it's another thing when "Remorse" refers to the author's real life remorse.
It's the final send-off for Whitty. Sock.clip had grown to despise the bomb man after Twitter swarmed the other creator, even though it wasn't the creation's fault. Whitty himself didn't do anything wrong. His old design on Sock's instagram page was broken apart into 2 people. Homskiy, the creator of Tabi, has the finer details in a video on his RUclips channel. It honestly feels like all of this could've been avoided if the proper precautions were taken. This is one big Butterfly Effect that's punishing the rest of the class for the actions of a few individuals.

I like how the easiness of the song also somewhat acts as a storytelling device. Updike himself is not overly powerful but it’s what he represents and the feeling/mood he imposes.
