I don't know if I'll ever get past the frozen stage because I'm more than likely going to eat them while they're fresh from the waffle iron. They look so perfect and amazing!
I have no words to express how absolutely delicious these are they are literally 10 times better than the real eggos same flavor just these are softer richer and more delicious 1000% percent recommend
My mom has been making frozen waffles for my dad for years now. She makes fresh waffles, freezes them, and then my dad will pop them in the toaster. They r really good but nothing compares to the warm cozy feeling i get when i get eggos, so i will have to try this recipe!!!
well i always learn something new in your videos. i have always just combined the ingredients with a whisk. but i must admit i start with dry and put all the wet in a well in the middle and then mix. plus i usually let the mix sit for 15 min to loosen the gluten. i will try your way even though i am very happy with the way mine turn out.
I always separate my eggs and beat whites separately. By folding into batter it gives the waffles a more fluffy textures which is just one more difference from pancakes.
As I'm eating Eggos Waffles this morning this pops up 😂😂 Will definitely make these!! A simple way to save money. My favorite way to eat these are waffle sandwiches (waffle, peanut butter, waffle) dipped in syrup. Cut the sandwiches in half so you have "corners" to dip with.
Tytyty! I got my husband a waffle iron for Christmas, but somehow waffle recipes have been.... Weird? You are perfect, so looking forward to this💝🙏✌️🖖 Edit Question: Do you adjust the recipe from your website for the whole wheat? Or is it just a swap?
Just smashing!!! I was waiting for a waffle recipe and here you are with one ... I hope you make waffle cones soon. Would love to make them at home and serve your ice creams in them... Looking forward to the recipe soon...
I have to try these! Eggs are a great on the run breakfast. Spread peanut butter, chopped pecans or a few mini chocolate chips, coffee or milk in a go cup, head out the door 😀
I strongly recommend sour cream because it enriches the batter, and makes the waffle moist and soft inside. You can make your own sour cream, www.biggerbolderbaking.com/how-to-make-sour-cream/ or you can substitute it with buttermilk www.biggerbolderbaking.com/homemade-buttermilk/ or yogurt.
Hi Gemma! Your Waffles look so delicious! My Mother loves a good Waffle. This is going going to be wonderful! She can have them ready to go! I already know these will be even better than Eggos because of your special ingredient & the Vanilla . Thank you Gemma ❤ I need to get a little Waffle Maker, we have the Belgian kind. XXX
Oh no, I wanted to see the ginger man on the other side of the waffles! :( But this is great for me, sometimes I just want to eat something fast and them being frozen makes it so much quicker, it's amazing, thank you :)
We don't have sour cream where I live and I checked your recipe for it, but I also don't have yogurt or whole milk, just skimmed milk, does it still work or should I just wait and buy whole milk? @@biggerbolderbaking
I haven't used our waffle machine for years except for a few moments where we made croffles during the pandemic. I guess I have one more waffle machine recipe to try out :D
It's essentially dairy cream that has been fermented like yogurt, you can easily make it by mixing cream with a bit of starter culture (eg. probiotics, yogurt, cultured buttermilk) and letting it sour at room temperature for 8-24 hours. I like to add a teaspoon of lemon juice for a stronger tangy flavor.
You can make homemade sour cream. Here's how I make mine, www.biggerbolderbaking.com/how-to-make-sour-cream/ You can also use buttermilk www.biggerbolderbaking.com/homemade-buttermilk/ or yogurt in place of sour cream.
The good news is you can make your own sour cream, www.biggerbolderbaking.com/how-to-make-sour-cream/ or you can substitute it with buttermilk www.biggerbolderbaking.com/homemade-buttermilk/ or yogurt.
I would never eat anything from kellogs, cornflakes gave my dad colon cancer. I kept telling him,, don’t eat that it will give you tumors!!! But I would make these from scratch.
As someone who legitimately just spent two weeks working out the recipe for eggos and now has legitimately a dead ringer for eggos, I have to say… this is not it… Too much sugar, too many eggs, not enough flour, no salt… You used butter instead of shortening (which eggo themselves says they use)… The one choice I can kind of agree with is the sour cream as an alternative to putting in buttermilk. Sorry, just… I went through several versions and literally got an eggo waffle exactly at the end and I know what steps I took and things I had to alter to get it right…
Why would anyone make homemade Eggo waffles? Frozen waffles are ok in a pinch but if I'm making homemade waffles I would rather have big, fluffy, golden brown, crispy on the outside waffles instead. Frozen waffles have a tendency to be somewhat soggy after they get done with the toaster, but if you toast them longer they will burn. That being said when my son was just a littles I kept frozen waffles in my freezer because it was a quick breakfast or snack I could give him. I would toast him up a waffle and give it to him plain, no butter no syrup, so he could just walk around the house munching on it. He really liked it when I got blueberry or chocolate chip waffles. But we haven't had frozen waffles in this house for about 12 or 13 years now. Nobody's been missing them or requesting them so they stay at the store.
You can reduce the sugar to a quarter or a third less than given in the recipe, www.biggerbolderbaking.com/homemade-eggo-waffles-recipe/ It will still yield a good result. Hope this helps.
Mine does not have preservatives or other artificial additives. The best way to find out is to give it a go. Get the recipe here, www.biggerbolderbaking.com/homemade-eggo-waffles-recipe/#wprm-recipe-container-51533
Sorry, but you just made pancake batter. if you want to make waffles you mix your wet ingredients and your dry ingredients and whip up your egg whites and fold them in. That's how you get a light fluffy waffle. Cook them till they stop steaming. Believe me. I owned a restaurant for years and made thousands
These are not regular waffles she is mimicking Eggo waffles. Your way is for Belgium or standard waffles which are totally different than Eggo store bought waffles.

I wonder if we can make pancakes with the batter and freeze those
Yes, you can make pancakes out of these. And freeze them too!
Hehehe… I know everyone uses a toaster, but I warm them up in the microwave to make them soft and squishy 😁

Can we actually bake these ?? Do they only bake in the waffle maker 🙏🥰

Mmmmm!!! Looks so good.
Just a question, do I have to use sour cream? Can I substitute? And what kind of sour cream if I can't substitute?

Hey there! I live in Brazil … so it’s not common … my small town has no idea about sour cream… how can o substitute the sour cream?!
Thanks 😊
Hey ! She did a video on how to do it : ruclips.net/video/K3jy1HFtwR4/видео.html

Hi Linda. For best results, follow the written recipe here, www.biggerbolderbaking.com/homemade-eggo-waffles-recipe/
@@biggerbolderbaking ... You do not have the written measurements. I am an NYer in Europe, I have eaten Eggos since the 80s! Please!

what are the measured ingredients for the recipe :)?
Hi. You can get the measurements from the recipe here, www.biggerbolderbaking.com/homemade-eggo-waffles-recipe/ Enjoy!
