I don't understand. Everytime I do this I get the wrong amount of stitches for some reason. For round 2, I do it exactly the same as you but I end up with 17 stitches. Then for round 3 I get 27 stitches. Then for round 5 when I do the ear holes, there's an extra amount of stitches at the end. Idk what I'm doing wrong. This is really frustrating me
Did you remember to count the ch 2 in the beginning as a dc? Or it could be that you are crocheting into the sl st, which can look like an extra stitch. You can always count your stitches for just in case and remember to skip the sl st. :)
Hey so I noticed in the video that for row 3 they accidently forgot to say that when doing the inc in needs to be 2 dc instead of 2 sc that's why the count is off which would say dcinc instead of just inc🙃
@@crochetitmaybe you’re accidentally crocheting a stitch where you slip stitched to the end of the row previously. I almost did that thinking it was another stich
I altered the stitch count because the yarn I used was thinner but the pattern worked so well. The hat I made was so cute and I'm excited to make more in different colors.
For me too! So I counted the amount of stitches on round 3 but it ain’t adding up to 24. It’s actually 32 to 33 dc to close up the circle. Did I make a mistake? Because for round 2 it’s 16 so I’m completely lost here 🫣
@@beatrizkodama6510 haha sometimes I just wanna give up crochet but try to watch another tutorials. Ive watched a tutorial and learned that the last stitch when you make a circle is not actually a stitch. It looks like a stitch but it isnt. You can also see that it is connected to a chains.

@@crochetit I actually made it for a Yorkie and it fit him! I thought it would be too small, but the person I gave it to said it fit and that he’s pretty small. I don’t know for sure, but maybe it’s because he is pretty old! About 10-12 years I think 😊
@@chaniyahbryant1496 I'm making one for my chihuahua tomorrow so I'll let you know! I made a different pattern but it didn't fit right. Hoping this pattern does! 😊
It could be because the tension of the stitches are tight, resulting in it curling in. you can use a bigger size crochet hook, like a 4.5mm crochet hook. Everyones tension and grip of the crochet hook is different, so don’t worry too much. If you see that it is curling in or is too loos, just change the size of your crochet hook.🫶🏻✨😁🦊🩵🧶

Your instructions do not match up with the way this looks. Where am I going wrong? I don’t have enough spacing for the ear holes. I’ve spent 2 hours trying to do this. Help.

Thanks I made it for my cat so I had to put the ears closer together but thank you so much
This hat fit my 3 lb chihuahua perfectly :)) thank you for this pattern! ❤
I am so happy to here that 😆✨

the background sound and all the counting sc makes me sleepy 😂 but nevertheles, nice hats! definitely gonna try this later❤

I love this ! I made one for my cute rabbit called Ruby and it suit her so well thankyou ~~
Aww Ruby is such a cute name❤️! I am so happy that you enjoyed the tutorial☺️✨
mine keeps on getting round as i work my stitches for each round. Instead of a flat base, mine is round
At round 4 the last dc4 of mine has excess of stitches I dc 8 because I have extra stitiches to work on. Maybe I made a mistake at round 3?idk

Can you do a little bigger please? I love your videos!
Hi, I do have another tutorial in a size small, you can check if that size will fit your dog/cat :)
How do you keep it from curling in on itself. Mine everyone I start to do a new layer starts to curl in itself
the increase can stop it from curling
@@sehunmathers4726 do u mean u have to increase the stitches as you go?
Can someone explain the part after 10:12 of round 5?😢

Made this and it is so cute! Thank you!
Hey yep i am making this hat for my goat bor 😅
Is there any chance you could go smaller? I have a really small puppy
Hi wondering if a smaller 5 ply yarn will work with a 2.5mm crochet hook make a smaller hat than said and if i need to watch the bigger sized tutorial
Yes, using smaller yarn weight and a smaller crochet hook will make the hat come out smaller.
@@crochetit i tried the small one it turned out fitted for a mouse
@@crochetit any advice+
hi! quick question...for round 6 did you do chain 2 and then two more stitches in the same spot? or chain 2 and one more dc in the same stitch.
Hello! Yes you ch 2 and do 2 more stitches into the same stitch.
Hi! This hat is so adorable. ☺️ Do you know if this could fit a yorkie?
I think it will be a little bit too small for a yorkie.

Round 3 took me out 😭 I have read sewing specs my whole adult life and I'm struggling.
same im confused
@@Meh947 in round 3 do i do the first dc into the same stitch i did the ch2 in??
@@serenilea no, the first two chains act as the single double crochet in the pattern for that row, then you increase for the next stitch.
Very nice and easy to do. I just love it. Keep up the good work

omg i love we breed dogs and this fits perfectly with the dachshund pups and great for advertising pictures

Does this work for a bunny ??
Im not sure, because I haven’t tried it on a bunny, but you can always make one and see if it will fit on your bunny head☺️
Just want to ask on the part for the ear hole it says that skip 4 stitches but i think you skip more than 4 stitches
Hello, I did skip 4 sts for each ear hole space. :)
can someone explain rnd 4 in the simplest way? 🙃 I’m dumb and can’t make it.
super confused i had extra stiches i filled in it was going good till i had to add strings they ended up on oppiste sides of the hat im so confused
What size is it? For adult or kitten?
Im not sure, the best option is to measure the cat’s head and compare it to the hats measurements.
Everytime i do it the top looks like a beanie what am I doing wrong ? 😫🥹🥹

what size of yarn is it?
Dk yarn
Can't finish my bucket hat 😭 the vid is corrupted.
Corrupted?
is the size good for a cat?
It might fit a cat, I’m not sure so check if the measurements is more or less the right size for a cat😄
Is it okay for chihuahuas?
I thinks so. I have included the measurements in for the hat, so you can check if it will fit for a chihuahua 🤗
i have one did it work pls let me know
Hi sorry i just noticed but i could be wrong but for row 3 it says ch 2, inc 1, *dc 1, inc 1* but in the video you dont inc 1 you just do ch 2, dc 1 all around 😅
Wait a minute I just realized
So for row 3 you do a double crochet and then you do an increase but instead of it being single crochet you did double crochet for the increase😅
Can you write it down
you seriously need to remake this tutorial because there are many parts where your demonstration does not match the instructions you’re displaying

2nd round turned out into 18 stitches😢
Should it be 1 dc per stitch?
I still dont get it
I think i get it now

2 dc per stitch
