Rather than my cat, my mom needed a crochet cover for her plants (they have water underneath and she doesn't want bugs in the containers). I made this for her AND IT LOOKS ABSOLUTELY STUNNING ON THE plants. Great content and very easy tutorial! I love this sm! Can't wait to make more!
I started making this last night and just finished it this morning. I love it! My cat seems comfortable wearing it too! :) I used a 5mm hook because I don't have a 3mm hook. And instead of 48 chains, I only did 42 chains because the hook I used is a bit thicker. But everything turned out well! :) Thank you for creating this tutorial!
My beloved tuxedo cat passed away in February of this year, so I lost all the motivation to make pet stuff. Recently, one of my friends adopted a beautiful fluffy cat, and now I am beyond excited to make her this adorable collar ❤ Thanks for the great tutorial.
Best tutorial ever I love the combination of text above, verbal and visual and the "pause" moments. It is perfectly created, and a fun and useful project. I am now a subscriber!! ❤
I came here because I saw someone on IG make a cute strawberry themed collar based on your vid and decided to try it out. This tutorial is very easy to follow and now my doggo looks 10x cuter with the collar on!
I made this with gray and beige and it was fun while watching Netflix, thank you for the tutorial 💖✨ it’s the second collar i made with your tutorial btw. Can’t wait to see you posting new cat collar tutorial 🧶.
I love this video so muchh. this is the first crochet video ive ever seen that is soo detailedd . soo well edited. i understood it easilyy and it looks soo neat and pretty. this is the first crochet ive ever made and it came out perfectly. all due to your guidances. Thankyouuuu !
Your tutorial is really clear, i can understand about the steps. Thank u so much for this i really hope that u can make a tutorial again about how to make a sweater for a pets (bunny/cat/dog). The several videos that I've watched really got me confused. Maybe you can make it clearly :)
Great tutorial! 💕 I'm a beginner and i think i've pretty much done correctly all the steps but it turns out with ruffles. If you flatten it the ends overlaps with each other. But I think, it's because i used a thicker yarn(?). It still came out really well, though i made it as my cat's skirt not collar anymore 😅
the video is lowkey a pain in the ass for me but my partner is very pleased with his spoiled princess having ruffles on her kitty collar so its worth it 😂
Hi! I am a student living in South Korea. My hobby is making knitting works with crochet. I saw your tutorial very impressively and it is so cute and lovely to make it for my dog. Thank you for giving me such a good tutorial and design. The flea market will be held at my school soon, so if you don't mind, can I use your tutorial to sell the product?
Thanks you love it. If just the last row of blue part is wavy, you can try to decrease stitch numbers each group in the last row, from 6 to 5 or maybe 4. If all of the blue part are wavy, maybe you can try a thinner blue yarn.
Thank you for this wonderful video! I was just wondering, since my dog is medium sized, i made 84 chain stitch for the initial chain. Should I add more row to balance the larger circumference? If so, what is your recommended pattern for adding more rows? Thanks again!!
At the beginning, you mentioned that the length of the chain depends on the diameter of the dogs neck x6. So if their neck has a diameter of 13 inches, is that 13x6= number of chains i need to do?
Sorry for the confusion. 1 the diameter of pet = numbers of chains (measure to your pet while making chains, thus you will roughly know how many chains to start with). 2 I say roughly because: to make the pattern in pink yarn in my video, the overall chain number should be multiples of 6. So, if you chain 38 and this length matches your pet’s neck, you might need to adjust the chian numbers to either 36 (6x6) or 42(6x7).
For this pet collar, the blue yarn is acrylic yarn, pink is 4ply cotton. Not necessarily have to be these yarn, just love this two color. You can try any yarn you have at home.
This might be because of the yarn size. I am using 8ply acrylic yarn, about 2mm wide, with a 3mm hook. If you are using different yarn or hook, you might need to adjust stitch numbers from Row 3. If your work starts to curl from row 3(I saw in others picture), I think you can try to work (1triple crochet, 1chain, 1triple crochet) in row 3, then (2tr, 1chain, 2tr) in row 4. In my video, I am work (2tr, 1chain, 2tr) in row 3.
Can you clarify what you mean by “skip two spaces, join the 3rd space with slip stitch?” From what I’m reading, it says to skip two stitches and slip stitch. Ok that makes sense. But then join the 3rd space with slip stitch?? So what is it, 2 spaces or 3? 🤔
hi am using 2mm yarn and 3mm hook but the result is still very wavy/wrinkled. i tried to use 1.5mm yarrn but it still very wrinkled. i even tried to losen up my tension but nothing's changed..
I am so sorry to hear that. I am quite confused because I saw several people following this tutorial and succeed. There are also people finished, tried on their pets, and taged me on Ins, the result looks really good. Maybe you can also take a photo and tag me on Instagram (still named lingzhi handmade), maybe I can help figure out what's the problem.
@@lingzhihandmade I also had this problem! At the beginning of the second row, you said 2TR, 1chain, 2TR in the first hole. I counted how many ‘rows’ you did in the first hole and it was 5. Then for the second hole it also said 2TR, 1chain, 2TR. Which made me believe that in every hole there has to be 5 rows. But then it turned out all wrinkly! I decided to count how many you did again in the second hole of the second row and you only did 4. I had to start the second row all over again 😅
Sorry to know it didn't work for you. The blue yarn is 100% acrylic, about 2mm wide. The pink yarn is 100% cotton, about 1.8mm wide. I am using a 3mm hook. It might be because we are using different sized yarn that resulted different tension.

I try to follow but the instruction like hole, space, chain stitch are confusing. Would love to make it for my cat
She uses 3mm crochet hook size. Guess its regular acrylic yarn.
It'll be easier for you to learn the basic first, with some practice you can do it in no time.
Same here. So, I followed the actions and it turned out good. Just be prepared for a few tries before you get the actual result.
These are all very basic crochet terms, so it would definitely be good for you to learn those first. Then these tutorials will be a breeze for you!
the video is lowkey a pain in the ass for me but my partner is very pleased with his spoiled princess having ruffles on her kitty collar so its worth it 😂
Loved it! Thank you for the amazing tutorials 💖
I like your design and tutorials. Thank you 😊
So glad to know 😌
My cat loves it 😄
Glad to hear that 😊
It came out perfect!!! Thank you so much!!! My cat looks amazing ♥️
i realized the space stands for stitch. I guess i need to learn other ways of saying certain terms in crochet
I was coming here to say this! It was extremely confusing
Thanks for the video....will being making the collar
I’m making it now for my kitty (grey) i hope he likes it ❤️
Thank you so much, very lovely 🎉🎉
Beautiful and well explained❤
So cute!! I love all your works! So i subscribed!
Thank you. 😉

I really want to make one💖 what size of hook did you use ?
Thanks. I am using 3mm hook.
Gracias no entiendo si lo pudiera hacer en español.me encanta esta hermoso..🙏🌺🌹🙋🇻🇪
I like the crochet folding hook that you are using, where can I buy it for myself? the collar is real cute...
Love this 😍
Thank you 😊
This is so cute!
What weight yarn & hook size is she using anyone know ??- Excellent tutorial !! I can't wait to make one !! 💕💕
Im gonna make this
I am interested in the crochet you are using in the video. Do you sell it? Or where can I find it?
Sorry, complete newbie. Is it the length of my pet’s neck in cm or inches please?
thanks so much
Can i do double crochet instead of triple double crochet?
hi i love your works!, and i have a question why my final blue yarn result are wavy? any tips? thanksss
i mean like wrinkled T.T

At the beginning, you mentioned that the length of the chain depends on the diameter of the dogs neck x6. So if their neck has a diameter of 13 inches, is that 13x6= number of chains i need to do?

Is there a chance to do a knitted version? 🥺
Ch 48 add 5 more is for S size?
May i know, what type of yarn u used? Is it 3ply?it look very neat..nice..compared to mine 😅
The blue yarn is 100% acrylic, about 2mm wide. The pink yarn is 100% cotton, about 1.8mm wide. I am using 3mm hook.
@@lingzhihandmade thank you ❤️❤️❤️

Hi, can I use a 3.5mm hook for this collar? Thank you!!
3.5mm hook should be fine
is that acrylic yarn?
The blue one is acrylic yarn, pink is cotton yarn. Not necessarily need to be this, I just happen to have these two color.
Do you have any measurements for a 1 month old kitten
Sorry I don’t have. 😔
@@lingzhihandmade damn😞🙁
Does anybody know why my project curls? Does it have something to do with the yarn type?
This might be because of the yarn size. I am using 8ply acrylic yarn, about 2mm wide, with a 3mm hook. If you are using different yarn or hook, you might need to adjust stitch numbers from Row 3. If your work starts to curl from row 3(I saw in others picture), I think you can try to work (1triple crochet, 1chain, 1triple crochet) in row 3, then (2tr, 1chain, 2tr) in row 4. You need to block it
I tried making this twice but always ended up having the collar being twisted (like a DNA) what could have i done wrong?
Mine is twisted two. I think it's the way we do the chain because the chain is twisted.
Your tension is too tight. Don't pull the yarn tight. Your chain should not be curling.
Thanks,i wait for new vid🖤
🥰
…anybody else size up and make it for themself? just me? alright…
Anyone knows how many grams of yarn for both colors do I need for making this cat collar? This is so cute 🥹
Slip stitch into the third stitch, you’re ignoring those first two, hence skip two and join the third

why did mine turn out so much more frilly?
Maybe because you used a thicker yarn :), when you use a thicker yarn try sizing down the stitches ! Hope this helps
Is it by inches or centimeters I’m so confused
By centimeters.
What brand yarn do u use?

What yarn did she use
I did exactly this and it didn’t work for me, it might be because you didn’t put size of yarn or crochet hook :( would love it if you let me know
Sorry to know it didn't work for you.
The blue yarn is 100% acrylic, about 2mm wide. The pink yarn is 100% cotton, about 1.8mm wide. I am using a 3mm hook.
It might be because we are using different sized yarn that resulted different tension.
I don't know how this happen but after mixing the new color I somehow ended up with 70 sc😩
Does anyone know what song is playing in the background
Hello, is there a pattern for larger dogs?
Its multiple of 6
Saludos desde mi hermosa Venezuela ,me en canta todo lo que haces pero no entiendo el inglés y no es traducido en español..😢❤🙏🌹🌺🙋🇻🇪
I'm confused on where the holes are for round 3
Every 4 chains
How many to chain for M and L?
I suggest to chain according to the size of your pets neck. As there are no definite length for M or L.
I made my collar too long for my cat oh well she had a tutu now 😂
how do i measure it to for ur pet
my pet has a tiny tiny neck lol
Do it in multiples of 6 until it fits...
