One of the reasons that private universities give so much financial aid is because they are so much more expensive, so they have to give scholarships to get students who aren't rich to attend. For example, my public university in Texas cost $10,000 a year with no aid ($55,000 less than Baylor). My little sister is also starting college and has gotten 3 scholarships in the past few weeks so it's definately possible to get money if you just keep on applying to any scholarships you can find! Even if it's just $500 or $1000 you'll be glad you aren't paying it back after you're working to pay off your loans. If you need funding from any school, you use the CSS Profile. I still had to show I have the funds to be able to live in the USA.
