I was super excited to try Gideon's cookies just based off the gothic esthetic the store radiates. However, my sister and I were a bit disappointed in the cookies 😕 they didn't taste freshly baked and we came to the idea that, since it's at Disney Springs, they need TONS of cookies to sell each day. The cookies felt distributed, too doughy, and overall your typical store bought cookie covered in chips to make it look more interesting than it actually is. When I returned to Disney Springs and saw the line, still crazy long, I told myself "these cookies really AREN'T worth the wait and money"
Underbaked dough cookies are the trend these days. Cookies like these are terrible, purchased only by suckers. However, I *would* try their cake slices.
I’m so glad I found your video! We were planning on stopping by before we fly back home lol that will definitely not work out. So now I can better plan our Disney Springs visit, I can’t wait to try them!
First of all, nice to see spring on its way. We seen tree's blooming here today. I thought an hour wait for a cookie was way to long, but after seeing the cookies definitely worth the wait. They look soooooo good. Thanks for the video. Love the humor in the video. Love the cookie monster.
Thank @Ross Huffine Glad to hear spring is blooming in your neck of the woods. I think we can all use a bit of spring cheerfulness just about now. The cookies are absolutely delicious and the owner and staff of Gideon's are just too nice. Well worth the support and wait. Sending you some sunny skies and warm tradewinds from Florida. Take care friend and thanks for watching!!
Loved the video takes me 3 days to eat a cookie but love the cakes it's all a treat the store is amazing glad you took Cookie Monster lol til next time Thanks cute jokes
What a great critique of Gideon’s!! It was so interesting learning about how the cookie was developed and the length of time to prepare and make it. They have to be the best looking cookie I’ve ever seen. Definitely makes our mouths water!! Also, seeing the first edition book The Raven by Edgar Allan Poe was so unexpected and so cool. Love everything about Gideon’s. Your description of the cookies were wonderful and we will start with the original chocolate chip. Would love to try the morning coffee cake too. So many you shared looked so good! Thanks to you both for another great video!
Thanks @Sontikah we’re really glad you liked the video. They whole story behind Gideons and how they make their cookies is very interesting. Just love supporting and promoting community businesses. I’ve never seen a first edition Poe before that was a real treat that we were excited to share.
With the virtual queue I feel like it’s not really waiting. I’ll try to give it a go on my next trip because I always enjoy an evening at Disney Springs. Thank you for the review, the pistachio looks amazing
We bought 1 of each flavor back in January so we were able to try the banana nut chocolate chip cookie and it was really good! We loved all the flavors except for one.. the original chocolate chip cookie. There was just a better flavor to the other ones in our opinion. We got to Gideon’s at 10:30 and waited in line for 45 minutes but the line moved pretty quickly. It’s definitely worth waiting for. 💖
Hey guys! How long did you wait in line after they called you back? I will definitely be stopping by because the virtual line will work perfectly with going for lunch and shopping then stopping by for dessert on the way out. We are staying at Saratoga Springs so we are so close to Disney springs. Yay! I’ll be getting the coffee cake, cookies and cream, and whatever else catches my eye. Can’t wait!
Hi @Jillian Giambra we waited almost 25 minutes once we were in line. Not bad at all and make sure you speak with the roaming Gideons staff they will be able to give you all the tips and tricks of the day. Excited for you guys. Sounds like you have a great trip planned out. If you want to be within the shortest walking distance to Disney Springs from SS ask to stay in one of the Congress Park buildings. They were also recently renovated.
Oh it's me again I forgot to comment on the peanut butter and chocolate chip combo tasting like a Reese cup that's something you can never get enough of plus I love the idea as well for the Gideons ears would that not be adorable I can just imagine little black sassy boots kind of Harley style black dress and top it off with the Gideon ears oh my holding that beautiful red and black cake and the model has this guy on the ground face down under her boot and she says All mine baby like go stand in line lol
They do. They only use a virtual queue when the line wraps around the building and blocks entrances to other shops. I just waited in line two days ago. It was a 35 minute wait.
"If the line is 5 to 6 hours, probably not." Really?!? It is obvious that they hate the whole experience of coming here, but won't admit it. Another channel of phony food vloggers.
The first bite tastes like Heaven.
The second one takes you there.
Most thorough video I've seen of this place, and I've seen several -thank you! 👍
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching.
Y’all are cute. Thanks for the review!

Been putting it off for years because of the long lines. I might dare to look pass the lines and try it for myself.

If you join the virtual que do
You have to wait in actual line for the 2-3hours?

The cookies are great. Definitely too much to eat in one sitting. We loved them and the store is just so neat looking. -S

Never mind you answered it in the video lol
Looks so good! but i can't eat one whole of the cookies!
Dip the peanut butter cookie in chocolate
I don’t understand why they can’t just make a line, like all regular stores.
They do. They only use a virtual queue when the line wraps around the building and blocks entrances to other shops. I just waited in line two days ago. It was a 35 minute wait.
The cookies are raw on the inside most the time
Fyi and I’m not joking about that but most people don’t know the taste it pretty good
@@Sevenfifty8 That's how they make it, because that is the trend with cookies these days. Gross.
