So the second thing you may want to learn is that speaking at all about the mafia is incredibly frowned upon in Italian/Sicilian-American culture (especially Sicilian). Also naming any names of any made member or even associate or even anyone involved at all and speaking at all openly about any type of activity or anything about it is (was) incredibly disrespectful. And I speaking about all Italian/Sicilian- Americans, well I guess those who have any values and respect and traditional values. You just don't do it except under certain circumstances in the proper setting. You would never even say the word "Mafia", you could say "The Mob" if you were speaking privately or discretely. My grandfather and some old school guys would just make a gesture by touching their nose and not usually verbally refer to it, some of the guys would touch the chin in the same way (If you don't understand why that was I can't help you).
I can give some examples for educational purposes I suppose but just from reading this comment you won't be able to understand unless you immerse yourself being around us, especially in NY or the metropolitan areas or the Old Country (Italy). Italian/Sicilians in Europe and America, we communicate with a lot o non-verbal communication, symbolic actions, body language, and too many other subtleties to comment on, just as far as communication.
Another thing I don't think very many people understand at all is this; the degree of respect and honor that is given to anyone involved, associated, or who even just simply knew the guys is astronomical. Good job guys. My first time watching one of Hootie’s interviews. Being honest, I’ve heard so much negativity about him here in NY for years that I never gave it a shot. But he doesn’t seem anything like people say. Seems like a pretty straight shooter.

A made member of the family has to put you on the record with the family for you to be even considered relevant in that life and Russo was never on the record with anyone.. he actually claims to have turned down being put on the record so he can continue being a quote on quote earner through his drug profits.. if merely growing up around actual connected guys and committing crimes with some of them in that neighborhood makes one a member or an associate then like I have commented in many comments before, I should get me a RUclips channel going..

I've been going through the comment section of this clowns videos correcting people for 2 days. If merely growing up and knowing connected guys makes one an associate then I could claim I'm an associate but that's not how it works.. I've seen in videos Russo claims to have turned down being put on the record so he could continue making money selling drugs when in truth he was never considered because he was an addict

Looks very different, talks very different, wore the same glasses and hair to look like him though lol, that’s not the same dude.
