So when I discovered your channel, the name reminds me so much of my youth 😊 • Korphil is where I discovered things about Korea and the culture, I had my Korean Language subject there, my Hangul teacher is still my friend in FB, she's married with 2 kids now. • I learned the basics of Taekwondo with our trainer called Teacher Baek. I still remember him coz he was my first Korean crush. Hahaha 😆 • I learned to make kimchi, with our culinary subject, and I still make kimchi for my own family to date. 😊 I have very fond memories of the unity of Korean and Filipinos in that school. Hence, I still have a bit of the Korean culture influence to this day. So it's really heartwarming to see a channel where Koreans appreciate the Philippine culture as well. When you guys mentioned you wanted to be a 'bridge' between Korea and Philippines, it reminded me of this Japanese RUclipsr named 'Fumiya' from Fumishun Base (channel name). He's a very passionate Japanese who also has a similar goal in becoming the bridge between Japan and the Philippines. He started small with his RUclips channel, but is now the most famous and most loved Japanese in the Philippines. His fame rose up ever since he came to the Philippines and joined a popular reality show on TV here in the country. He has really made a great positive impact towards the Philippines and Japan. Wow, I’m pretty impressed by your story. You never really know the impact when you’re able to touch other people’s lives just by being kind to others. I’m glad that you had that experience with your Canadian Filipino foster family. If you want to experience the culture when you get a chance to visit the Philippines, here’s some of my suggestions ~ in Manila, stay in the BGC area there’s tons to see & do there and a lot of goods restaurants. Tagaytay, South of Manila, has breathtaking views & great restaurants. Siargao is another great island to visit, it’s the surfing capital of the Philippines, you can also go island hopping, snorkeling, diving, surfing, trekking. Cebu is also very diverse, you can go hiking, canyoneering through waterfalls and do a hot bath in a large wok. 😂 And eat lots of seafoods and mangoes and coconut. Also try guayabano fruit, jackfruit, atis & pineapple. Check out Making it Happen Vlog, Martin Solhaugen, Avelovinit, & Dasori Choi. They all live in the Philippines & have amazing content and they have lots of tips that might be of help to you. I hope you guys can make it happen and go there for a visit. All you need are your warm smiles, make small talks to break the ice and you will be welcomed by Filipinos with open arms. Wow, I’m pretty impressed by your story. You never really know the impact when you’re able to touch other people’s lives just by being kind to others. I’m glad that you had that experience with your Canadian Filipino foster family. If you want to experience the culture when you get a chance to visit the Philippines, here’s some of my suggestions ~ in Manila, stay in the BGC area there’s tons to see & do there and a lot of goods restaurants. Tagaytay, South of Manila, has breathtaking views & great restaurants. Siargao is another great island to visit, it’s the surfing capital of the Philippines, you can also go island hopping, snorkeling, diving, surfing, trekking. Cebu is also very diverse, you can go hiking, canyoneering through waterfalls and do a hot bath in a large wok. 😂 And eat lots of seafoods and mangoes and coconut. Also try guayabano fruit, jackfruit, atis & pineapple. Check out Making it Happen Vlog, Martin Solhaugen, Avelovinit, & Dasori Choi. They all live in the Philippines & have amazing content and they have lots of tips that might be of help to you. I hope you guys can make it happen and go there for a visit. All you need are your warm smiles, make small talks to break the ice and you will be welcomed by Filipinos with open arms.
