Honestly warbands are best thing in wow in years. Im lvling alts by doing quest in each zone so I get the story, exp, gold, farm mats and it's not that boring like in previous expansions when you had to grind some rep on every char doing same content everyday. Big W for blizz for that
I wish Elder Scrolls Online would do something similar to Warbands. ESO has account-wide achievements, but things like lorebooks have to be individually hunted on each character. Worst of all, the book furnishings that *might* drop from treasure map chests will only drop if that particular character has "read" that lorebook (previously read the lorebook out in the world). The amount of lorebooks we have to chase down and read before even stepping foot into the Infinite Archive is ridiculous. And a lot of players don't even know they haven't had book furnishings drop from IA because that character hasn't read that lorebook. Awful system.
Juggling alts has always been a pain. I would just level them to max then ignore them till next expansion. Warbands definitely makes juggling them easier. Wish I could have more than just four tho
fyi, the weekly dungeon quest can even be completed in Follower Dungeons. Granted, its rare for any gear to drop in there, but, you will get credit for the weekly quest.
Seems to be the only way to do it in my experience, people are only doing specific dungeons in follower mode. Random dungeon is the only way to get real people
Follower quests have been awesome to experiment and explore. I'm curious if you can actually peel both of the first boss adds if you run away fast enough and avoid aggroing the lieutenants the first boss sends after you, since the he says he won't send his other lieutenant only after killing the one that peels off to get you.

Been playing since wrath but i'm a altaholic so i've never really farmed rep as it seemed soul crushing. This account wide rep has me finally engaged in it! Big W for Blizz on this, its respectful of our time and has been very enjoyable doing these quests

Keep in mind folks, if you receive rep from a quest once on your account you will not receive rep a second time on another character by doing the same activity again. The rep is a one time reward from world quests, side quests, weekly quests, campaign quests and rares. It IS worthwhile to do each skyriding race on each character and getting golds for each race type, as you get a 1 time resonance crystal reward per character, and you can share that currency across your warband for purchasing those items off the renown vendors. It comes out to about 10k per character for all gold races!
If you hover a rare skull from HandyNotes it will actually tell if you've gotten the rep drop that week from that rare. Very useful if you're doing laps to look for rares, or something of the like.
I wish they'd give access to the Darkmoon Faire carousel more often; it just doesn't feel like it's around enough. Wanted to mention in case anyone didn't realize, but with WQs you should check the one with the renown groups and see if they're greyed out or lit; helps cut down on a lot of time and effort and prevents you from repeating one you've already gotten for the warband.
A bit of a clarification on Severed Threads: The way that the "main" rep works is that you only get it when you earn a rep level of one of the three sub-factions (Weaver, Vizier, General). So the fact that Kelani got 2500 Severed Threads renown when finishing the pact quest was just because he gained a level on whichever of the factions he represented that week.
and that's 550 Rep if you make sure the Faire Buff is up when you turn in the last Side Quest in the chain, as multiple Side Quests are daisy-chained together.
The Lore Items in Hallowfall are used to answer the Quiz questions from the Loremaster. If you dont find the appropriate lore item or talk to the correct people, the Correct Quiz answer wont even show up. Not sure about the lore items for the other Zones though!

Only in daily quests, regular quests and side quests only reward rep once per quest. So you can do the quests on your alts but you will NOT get rep for them.
once you do a quest on any character, it's a one time reward that does not pop again. this includes even WQs, so if you do the WQ again on an Alt, you'll only get more rep via the Contract. not worth doing on Alts imo... though there ARE Profession Recipes tied to SQs, so make sure you note which chain gives what for what Prof as the Recipes are not Warbound.
I did the awakening the machine event the other day, did all 20 waves and as I was trying to loot each chest, none of them let me loot all of the items out of them. I would loot about 2 items and then the loot window would disappear and I could no longer click on the chest again to loot. Didnt get any of the items through the mail either. I was a little steamed about that.
I also did not get any rep from the weekly quests you get from lighting the Lesser Keyflames and unlike the other person in the comments, I did all of those last week on the same day so it was a week since doing it. I wasn't 100% sure they gave rep but now that I see this im kinda bummed that I missed out on over 1k rep :/
I got rep for 3 quests. Crabs, Potatoes, and Bottles. I 100% Have done crabs and bottles before but potatoes was new to me. Other quests did not give rep for me.
you actually forgot to mention the epic treasure map that you receive from doing Delves , it gave me 5512 Rep to 1 faction but i doubt anyone got that so far so i guess im being lucky
@@MrM4DD0gg maybe the chance for Rep tokens will also increase as the delve level gets higher. would also make tier 11 worth it over tier 8 i guess, depending on how much harder it gets ofc
you probably want to max them all, but doing them one at a time may be the way to go. personally i ran into bugs trying to choose any other than The Weaver, just wouldnt come through, even though the NPC acted like it accepted my choice.
One thing that should be mentioned is the reputation caps, you cant earn past certain ranks currently, I think this week its capped to 10 renown levels.
Say I do all the Hallowfall weeklies on my main and get all the rep, will I be able to do those weeklies on my alt as well as get the rep rewards? If the weeklies are like the side quests then I expect not, but I haven't done the research just yet to confirm.
For the zone with the three seperate reps to grind, do all three reps need to be at the same renown for the total renown to up, or can you grind rep on one of the three?
The Weaver, The Vizier and The General are all part of the same Faction, they merely give different Quests/Benefits on a personal level. it is the main faction you only need concern yourself with if you're maxing the rep, the others are merely "friendships"

I don't get any rep from the torchlighting or completing the side quests for some reason in Hallowfall. My Hallowfall rep is nearly 3 levels behind the other three and Ive done everything in the zone.
So are alts completely useless if you are just after rep? Feels like every rep method is warbound or can you do certain weekly quests and get rep on multiple characters?
There is still 1 more week to get raid and mythics, and I've done all the campaign quests, local side quests, world quests, weekly, etc. and i still got my renowns around 8-11, but i see on streams, people getting all of them more than 15. How can they do that, when i got nothing to do any quests anymore. Even if they killing rares 7/24, they only give 150 rep, what is more to do, if anyone knows, please enlighten me.
the EA players have had a week ahead of other players in most instances. so dont pay too much attention to that, you'll eventually max renown with everyone else, neckbeards are gonna neckbeard.
no, because then it would promote even more negativity with screwing over the people who do not play tons of alts. such should be encouraged without punishing the opposite.
people are deluded in thinking that Rep can be neckbearded anymore, this is no longer the case even for Rares and Treasures (unless Unique) this means that maxing out a rep is mostly gonna come from WQs, though you wont be able to spam them on multiple toons like in the past. we have 18 months which to max out these Reps before we head into Midnight.
wish u could farm the rep by completing dungeons in the zones as well, i´m not really interested in openworld content. Limiting the possible rep for the weekly activities and giving like 250 rep per completed dungeon would be kinda nice. In addtion people might be less likely to leave dungeons when they can grab some rep when finishing.
this "i gotta max my Rep NOW" mentality is the bad choice here. you're not getting ahead of everyone gear wise by spamming Rep gains, though that must obviously be your plan, considering how you want to pop them NOW.
Been going hard with the war within, but you would have to be a complete idiot to actually buy those auction house contracts. Why blizzard would even implement that into the game at such low reputation is beyond me.. if the contracts were worth 1000 rep gain then it would absolutely be worth it
Honestly after full on hating on the dragonflight renown system (we dont talk about shadowlands), i am still not happy with the current state of the rep system in war within. We should be getting 2500 x 4 per week period. Its a lot of time and not everyone has the availability to farm for 40ish weeks straight for reputation. They are still not touching grass. Reduce the complexity of these reputation systems please even more.
Expansion will be out for 2 years mate. You don't HAVE to finish the renown asap, just take your time and enjoy the game, don't treat it like a chore. It isn't healthy.
I don't that's correct. because that's not how a Ke sound is pronounced in English. For example the word kestrel for the ke sound and the J after an e is often like a g sound... so kedge or kege is likely correct. Otherwise it might as well be Kash.

Honestly side quests are super quick and typically 500 renown per zone faction

I got my first lvl 80 alt yesterday and it was crazy easy to gear him out to 580ilvl, I was amazed.

I did every quest on Sojourner achieves because I thought it was the War Within Champaign. lol.
Once you kill a rare for the week it no longer appears on your minimap, so always kill a rare if it’s marked on your minimap

The bountiful delve rep bonus seems to be a one-time thing. You can't get the 1.1k for the same faction multiple times

The bounty full delves rep that you can earn on alts is entirely random and you can earn a max of 4 tokens a week
ive just tried to get this rep from bountful delves.. done 2 at tier 3 and opened the chests.. didnt get any. is it a chance for the rep to drop?
@@bidiss it's not a guaranteed drop, there probably are also Rep Tokens in Dungeons and Raids too, but they drop even less often.

You get rep at the end of each of the side questlines. The last quest in the chain gives you a "large" amount of rep.

@@TheXerosyn the lanterns are once a week as are the Meta Quests that come with them. you're done for the week with that faction.
Spreading the Light is bugged on mine. Sent a ticket. It's a known issue that needs fixing.

Also maybe some of them are showing videos from the beta where they are further ahead.

people are deluded in thinking that Rep can be neckbearded anymore, this is no longer the case even for Rares and Treasures (unless Unique) this means that maxing out a rep is mostly gonna come from WQs, though you wont be able to spam them on multiple toons like in the past. we have 18 months which to max out these Reps before we head into Midnight.
Still argue there needs to be compensation for alt that are FORCED to repeat the quests WITH NO REP rewards.

wish u could farm the rep by completing dungeons in the zones as well, i´m not really interested in openworld content. Limiting the possible rep for the weekly activities and giving like 250 rep per completed dungeon would be kinda nice. In addtion people might be less likely to leave dungeons when they can grab some rep when finishing.

Did wonder why those lore items were popping up on some addons as a rare mob/item all the time. Was a bit annoying.

Rare rep gain being reset weekly is a bad choice imo. There is already so much to do every week which even becomes more when s1 starts…
No one is forcing you to grind everything per week brother. Fastest way to burn out of an expansion.
Giving players more choice is a good thing.
this "i gotta max my Rep NOW" mentality is the bad choice here. you're not getting ahead of everyone gear wise by spamming Rep gains, though that must obviously be your plan, considering how you want to pop them NOW.

Not every bountiful delve gives rep
There's a limit to how much rep you can get from a Delve per week. Maybe you've done too many already.
Been going hard with the war within, but you would have to be a complete idiot to actually buy those auction house contracts. Why blizzard would even implement that into the game at such low reputation is beyond me.. if the contracts were worth 1000 rep gain then it would absolutely be worth it
Honestly after full on hating on the dragonflight renown system (we dont talk about shadowlands), i am still not happy with the current state of the rep system in war within. We should be getting 2500 x 4 per week period. Its a lot of time and not everyone has the availability to farm for 40ish weeks straight for reputation. They are still not touching grass. Reduce the complexity of these reputation systems please even more.
Should they just give you all renown when you login to next expansion?
Expansion will be out for 2 years mate. You don't HAVE to finish the renown asap, just take your time and enjoy the game, don't treat it like a chore.

I don't that's correct. because that's not how a Ke sound is pronounced in English. For example the word kestrel for the ke sound and the J after an e is often like a g sound... so kedge or kege is likely correct. Otherwise it might as well be Kash.
