Such a beautiful city! I loved wandering round Higashi Chaya after dark when it was peaceful, so atmospheric. Kenroku-en is beautiful, very different from Koraku-en in Okayama but equally stunning. Thank you for sharing your experiences of this beautiful city!
Great video on a beautiful town! I love how well you explain locations spatially and give a great idea of the lay of the land, so to speak. You are the Kurosawa of RUclips 🙇♂️
Kanazawa was mine and my wife's favourite place when we spent our 2 weeks in Japan in April. Despite the awful weather we encountered it was just so beautiful and interesting! Cant wait to come back in 2025 with better Nihongo skills than just the basics 😅
That's amazing you enjoyed even with not good weather. It was raining when I visited first time too. I hope you enjoy your next visit to Kanazawa too. :)
Thank you Dan san! There are many cities in Japan but Kanazawa is compact and well organized for tourists like us too. There might be some other priority cities for you like Hokkaodo, but I hope you can visit here too someday. :)
Thanks for another video, reminds me of the last trip in 2016, i am going to visit again next year while checking out toyama and fukui! Definitely need an umbrella while visiting kanazawa. Last visit, it rained almost every day when i was there!!
Thank you so much for watching Henry san. I haven't seen Fukui yet so that sounds exciting you visit there! Yes, it was raining a lot on my previous visit, so it looked very different in the sun. :)
Wow! You made some great choices! The hotel seemed very nice. Kanazawa is so beautiful! I really appreciate your use of maps and explanations of local transportation. This is very useful. Thanks for all your hard work, Ken Chan!
@@tokyokenchan Your videos have great value, but they don't need to look like everyone else's videos. Your personal experiences and tips are what make the videos great. The maps, transportation information and advice, and much more make it polished. I am sure it will attract more attention, for sure. 'Just remember why people started watching your videos to begin with: You and Japan through your eyes! Thank you, as always, for all your hard work.
@elizabethhafferty1200 Elizabeth san. I saw your message during my travel and I felt like you knew what I've been going through and I was quite surprised, also was glad to see your message. I can't appreciate enough for your thoughful words. :)
Your travel videos are really great and so helpful, because they are so detailed and you explain about public transport, give a hotel tipp, restaurant tipps etc. (besides showing the sights of the place). I also enjoyed Kanazawa a lot, it has so much to offer of things that I like (japanese garden, castle site, old houses, great food, a busy fish market etc.).
Thank you for always showing us very clearly how to enjoy the prefectures you visit. I loved Kanazawa. I found the tourist counter at Kanazawa station very helpful. The ladies behind the counter spoke very good English. Those who find the buses abit confusing like you mentioned, can buy the tourist pass for the R and L loop buses at the counter. You can hop on and off at different locations but be warned, the buses can get crowded. When visiting Kanazawa castle, you may be able to engage a tour guide who will be happy to tell you about the history of the castle. Just go up to the window next to the ticket booth. No charge at the time but I'm not sure about now
Great video Ken san, Kanazawa is on our list of place to possibly visit on our next trip to Japan. And after watching your video, it is a definite place to visit!
I appreciate your observation that restaurant reviews on Google Maps may not describe the experience you will have eating at a particular restaurant. We definitely found that to be the case when we were in Kagoshima a few months ago. Thanks for your videos.
Thank you for watching. I think I didn't go in this restaurant if I saw review. Maybe depends on what we order and impression changes as most of local workers were ordering reasonable lunch set. I agree. I experienced this several times too. Sometimes better just go in and not pay too much attention on the review. Still figuring out. ^^
Nice video Ken san. I like your background music..very relaxing. We will be there early April for 6 nights but staying at a hotel near the station. Can't wait!! Cheers!
Oh thank you so much Peter san. I usually use the same one but I thought it was a bit too much in Toyama video, so I made it a little more subtle in this one. I'm glad you like it! I think that's a great idea to stay near the station too! I wish you have the best time in Kanazawa. :)
Wow that sunrise at kenrokuen is stunning!
It was! I definitely recommend to see sunrise at Kenrokuen. :)

Kanazawa looks very chill and quiet… and pretty ! Worth to see ;)
Yes! It’s a compact city with some charm. Thank you for watching. :)
The autumn leaves look so beautiful! I had to laugh when you said that the carp are on a diet 😂
Hi Ken! I visited Tokyo 3 years ago and your videos helped me so much! I am visiting this year and I hope to visit Kanazawa. Great guide as usual!

Kengo-San! I love the Kanazawa area! Thank you for making it… soon I will be in Iwate and Aomori! Cannot wait!
Davi san, thank you for watching! That's great you are visiting northern Tohoku in Winter! ⛄
Wow! That hotel was so big ! Im definitely gonna stay there when I visit Kanazawa next year.
I think you will enjoy your stay there! Close to city center and very clean. :)
Fascinating tour. Love the calm and serene sights. Thank you so much.

Thank you for watching this video Mat san. Oh great! There are many places to visit, but I hope you can visit Kanazawa too in the future. :)
I was there in June this year and it was probably my favourite place in my 10 years of visiting Japan. It's got a little bit of everything
Oh great! That's a big like for Kanazawa. :)
Thanks!
Kanazawa is beautiful. I must add this city to my next Japan travel. Arigato Kengo san!
@lillygirl7238 Thank you so. much for your super support Lilly san! Kanazawa is a compact city and a beautiful place to visit. :) Thank you again.
Hi Kenchan nice video we will be there in April 5 till 11 2025..........we will be in Japan for 90 days
Hello Effie san. Thank you always. 90 days! You see lots of Japan in the great season. :)

Thank you so much Nicolette san for your kind support! I really appreciate your kind words and encouragement. :)
@tokyokenchan you're welcome! 🤗
The atmosphere of Ishikawamon Cafe is a traditional Japanese coffee shop and is wonderful!😊
I wanna go!
Toshi-kun, I'm sure you like that coffee shop and the store owner lady! I saw lots of English reviews too. :) Thank you for watching.

FIRST FROM THE HILTON SHINJUKU!
Welcome back to Tokyo!
Kanazawa looks amazing. I did not realise that the thunderbird was still in operation, I thought that was closing?
Thank you Ryuga san! Yes. Thunderbird was shortened to Kyoto - Tsuruga, so we need to change to Shinkansen there.
Hi Mr Kenchan , Is it Good to travel in the Month of Jan2025 ?
