Infectious piano notes, drum beats and lyrics make this another Kate winner. I've got all of her music and slowly going through her discography. Never encountered anyone with such rich and varied works. I am having a blast listening to all of these. Can't get enough of Kate.
@@carolball5764 Phil didn’t play on Security. Jerry Marotta played drums on that album along with sampling from the Fairlight CMI synth and drum machine. You might be thinking of the Melt (PG3) album released in 1980, which features the famous gated reverb drum sound on the song Intruder, which Phil would later use on In The Air Tonight.

Kate you can't just make these bangers and then not put them on Spotify it's not fair! This song is amazing! I love the way she sings in this!
ikr? i really love her TSW era
Imagine if the whole “This Woman’s Work” box set was released on Spotify…? Or “The Other Sides” album…? That would be perfect. We can wish…
@@nickavenoso7851 Or you could just buy them if you like the artist that much.

Is there anyone who likes this drum sound?
Sounds like the drum reverb effect that Phil Collins developed on Peter Gabriel's album 'Security' . Love it.

I was just thinking how she nailed that snare sound, it's perfect especially for the 80's
I love the desperation in her voice when she sings, "Though the clouds have come, maybe the sun will come out!"
A voice like no other
This woman is simply amazing
the GOAT
Excellent tune. Should of been a smash hit
Drum sound fantastic
3:55 she always did a lot of trills like that around The Sensual World era
Perhaps inspired by the Bulgarian way of singing?
Yes.
I wish Kate had used The Trio Bulgarka to do the Ooooooohs & Aaaaaaahs in the backround.
I don't, would have ruined it.
I'm still waiting too Kate, waiting way too long.
Not my favourite era of KB but still stamped with quality and class.
2:12 sounds like parts of Reaching Out
This song reminds me of the movie "A Zed and Two Naughts.
Was this song used as a B-Side on one of the singles from "The Sensual World" ? Would have made another great album cut for that great album .
Only on the ASPECTS OF THE SENSUAL WORLD CD single----nowhere else.
This song first appeared as a b side to the CD/12" of This Woman's Work.
Yeah... the genius was gone by that time. Too bad.
???
@@lovenanger9258 Artists have their time. Hers was over.
Sensual World is brilliant. Aerial in 2005 even better. She's never lost it

Well that was a load of wank, wasn’t it?
