Finally, the obligatory Nex guide.
Not sure how I lasted this long without it.
Nuzz nuzz actually too smart out here. With the recent release of Nex in OSRS this man is like the Evil Lucario of SEO.
Just wanted to say thank you, had tried Nex on a few different occasions and she always fully healed during blood. Your guide got me through that phase and now I've finally managed to get my first Nex kill. Very slow time of 9.5 mins, but it only goes up from here.

for ice prisons if you have a defender you can use it for a chance to reduce most damage of the hit as well as res the incoming mage attack. this is really nice especially since if you bring a t70+ defender you have a chance of getting ancient symbols which is free ancient components

Im about to attempt this today... how was it? did you have T80 tank first... or did you do with with tier 70 power?
just did t70 power gear. Use blood reaver if you have it or yak pak. summoning familiars arent that important. It is very easy just be careful in the blood phase and remember to kill the mobs. It is extremely easy once you udnerstand it. ice phase just use every defense ability. You can do it. took me 7 attempts. just go in and do it.@@scottparkin1280

Really nice guide, there's actually a very easy way to cheese blood phase for beginners or irons that have low DPS. You can do this because whenever Nex does a siphon she loses aggro on you as long as you don't hit her during the siphon, then you can go out of her line of sight and kill the reavers and she'll just stand there's doing nothing until she sees you or you attack her. It's very easy to do this when you phase her from shadow, do the one hit to phase then get off of her asap and deal with the reavers out of her line of site, can be done easily using the colomns in the middle.

Hey, for the bank upgrade, can I just get 1 kc with a friend then reattune a portal to have it tele directly inside room thereby skipping the need to pay 10m?

i use full pernix, blood amulet of fury, constitution cape, lotd, ruby bakriminels bolts (e) and dual ascension crossbows as gear for ranged and in inventory I have 3 overloads(normal version), ring of vigour, 5 super restores, 200 magic notepaper, powerburst of vitality, shield and the rest is food + summoned yak full of food. Is that good enough to begin with solo?
note: I don't have any reaper/soul neclace, any fancy kiln/zuk capes, any 2h crossbow and no enchanted excalibur

You can get key pieces from the minions outside the door for the boss. That's how I got all of mine.
with the new t95 dinarrows, it´s good use a bow now like noxious?
Would an upgraded bone blowpipe be okay for a main weapon? Or is the range too low to be worth trying? I'm only at 93 range so I can't use enchanted bakriminal bolts, but I do have a royal crossbow if it would still be better.
Possible to learn this boss easily with cyrpblooms set of 3?

does disruption shield work on the ice prison attack?
For advanced setup id recommend blue blubber and guthix rest instead of sailfish and brews, since brews make ur stats go down so much, itll screw you up at nex. Also, maybe bring two sailfish as emergency food.
wouldnt overloads negate the brew side effects anyways?
@@russ1anv0dka yes but it takes 15 seconds to reapply and if you spam brew sips it could still stay pretty low sometimes

I can't seem to kill Fumos, none of my attacks register, is he immune to magic or something? I'm using elite tectonic and cywirs with pre6, eq4 and ruth3, but I can't manage to hit him at all.

You did 9405 damage at 23:04 when nex was just coming out of the second siphon and it wasnt onslaught. And at 23:19 you did something similiar again, doing 7704+ damage (nex was phased at 80k otherwise it would've been even more damage). Were those snipes? Or was that the EoF special? What was that?

Do vuln bombs not work on nex? I was wondering why all the guides I have watched never bring them. Trying to get ancient lantern, and this boss is screwing with me because I have no clue how to range (I only mage or melee usually)
They do work but debuffs are removed really quickly at Nex so she only has vuln applied for a few seconds. That’s what the wiki says at least.
Update for blood sacrifice: now with the Succession quest you can use dive instead of surge without the need for switching for melee!
for the antipoison, run venomblood
nex is weak to inq staff, so what is ur take on inq staff + full cryptbloom armour + animate dead.... how good it is for a starter/learner??
If you do this you cannot use an instance. As instance nex always protect from mage. Technically every kill she changes.
So youd have to hop around to see what shes protecting in the non instance to figure it out
I forgot to mention the Stone Of Jas Buff works here and is very very good to use, you can get it at the glacor cave: runescape.wiki/w/Glacor_Cave
Also for Archaeology relic setups, I'd go with your normal DPS setup that you usually use, however things like Death ward can be helpful for reducing damage.

Nuzz!! i keep searching for a video comparison for the sgb and hexhnter bow dps changes that include the new splintering/deathspore arrows! is there a new meta from this? wiki says splintering arrows add around 30k dps per min. and deathspore makes the next threshold (special included) free. can you swap from one effecct to the other right after one procs and benefit from a eof sgb spec adren free from deathspore and then swap to splintering to add that effect on top? and where does that add hexhunterr into the meta if at all? im thinking hexhunter with sgb in the eof swapping from splinter to spore in my pernix quiver. If im wearing full armadyl (ironman) what melee stuff would i need to stop the melee attacks?
I think bandos helm and boots should work for you.
Technically, you would need to wear such items as would bring your melee stat values to be higher than your ranged stats. She has a chance to get in MD if those melee is lesser than ranged value.
How do you make next not pray range can you calaberate?
If you buy the instance, it makes her always pray mage. Once you kill you teleport out and then rejoin the instance.

Ascensions are definatly viable lol he was just going minimum setups and max setup without eofing your ecb
Yes the setups are very flexible, I was showing some examples but basically any crossbows work here, you can even do nex with a bow and blackstone arrows pretty well too.
Would a wen book be a good pocket slot item?
it's good for all phases besides p5. also not good on minions. the reason arma book is bis is because of the multiple low damage hits clear the minions and help more on p5.
For the life of me I can not do the blood phase no matter how many times I try. She is right on me constantly healing 10k after 10k
can you use mage? why do all guides only show ranged?
You can use mage, but it's not recommended as she can pray against that, and then you will need a switch. Also the use of an instance makes sure that she never prays against ranged so that is why killing it with ranged is easiest.
I will watch this video as many times as it takes until I can get a kill.
Am I the only one who feels that nex is super glitchy? Tho whole arena. Animations jitter, she can get stuck easily, kiting her around is just a nightmare...
Someone needs to give me tips to counteract her melee distance damage. first off, she doesn't occasionally come into melee distance.. SHE ALWAYS COMES INTO MELEE DISTANCE!! And second of all, simply "running away or surging away" also doesn't solve the problem because she keeps coming back into melee distance and she runs faster than me. I can't get more that 5 auto attacks without getting my ass whooped by her melee attack's.
Anyone have any tips because I can't keep getting smacked with 2k+ damage every other hit
Try wearing melee boots and helm for p2 and she shouldnt come into melee distance.
@@NuzzNuzz She is melee the whole fight for me. When she spawns she instantly walks into melee distance and never leaves.
I dont understand ice phase I res right at the same time as he does everytime but get 0 heals just slapped for 7k no matter what. This boss makes no sense. How was this possible before abilities or powerburts???
The 7k typeless attack doesn't proc the res heal. You'll want to tank it and use res against the auto attack that comes after it.

solid guide but the melee items in phase 2 aint working for me. i keep getting smacked on it
It's not the items itself. You need to check your load out for the fight. If your melee stat values are lesser than your ranged values (which is certainly what is happening in your case), she will still get into MD.
What is that tornado thing appearing on enemies?
Armadyl god book, a nice to have here since if it procs on a minion, it can take out like half of it's hp

my problem is that I need so damn long to kill the reavers that she always heals her health back up to 200k
It takes time to get this down, but it's possible to surge from nex, so she loses aggro, and then you can kill the reavers without having to worry about her. Try to time it so that you surge as she siphons(as she cant move then), so you have the most amount of time to damage her before the next one. This turnaround, she won't heal back as there will be nothing to heal from. So, as long as you don't use bleeds, it will be possible to phase her.
For the reavers you could aggro both and use aoe abilities or mech chins to kill them faster.

Royal crossbow is what I used in the budget kills, basically T80+ of whatever will be possible, can use dual wield chaotics etc.

Since the hits cap you want the armadyl book since it does a bunch of small hits on the minions etc, rather than a big hit that will get its damaged reduced. The book of wen deals 5 very very small hits then a big one, while the illuminated book of law deals 5 moderately sized hits.

I can do it only with melee!!! I tried with ranged, full sirenic and acb and couldn't do enough dps at the blood fase. But with melee i did much easily!!!!!!
What was your gear?

@@paulotenorio3797 Try to start the phase at 100 adren, then death swift. I always do that, charge snipe while she spawns the 2 reavers, then just dump rapid fire and a basic and you can be good to go.

At the beginning nex was an insane pain in the ass for me, even more difficult than like 0% telos, and suddenly when I started to use more the reckless aura I began to get faster kills (still under 5 min on average) and then I knew the prison in the ice phase is imposible to block with reflect so I use the powerbust of vitality in the first and barricade in the second while attacking the last minion. And well is a great moment to kill nex by the high prices of the virtus and torva equipments and nex is one of the very few bosses that the only food that I bring is saradomin brew by the non adrenaline drain.

When you mentioned having an eldritch crossbow in an Essence of Finality, I was super confused. I'm working toward making my first EoF from scratch, and I was under the impression putting a special attack into the amulet permanently destroyed the weapon. So why would you permanently destroy a 3B+ purchase just to have it in an amulet?
I looked up how the mechanic works, and I was right.
So putting an ECB or SGB into an EoF is basically spitting on poor people

Magic would involve waiting out the Magic prayer since nex always prays magic at the first kill of the instance making kill times much longer, you could hybrid with magic/melee but that's considering you have two setups for both of those styles and none are as ideal as ranged.

It matters mostly on the way your revo bar is set. If you have set it up so that high damage abilities are more to the right, chances are they will less likely be used throughout the fight.
This is allot of information to take in but he seems simple enough...dont have to do dumb shit with shield abilities really.

You need to check your load out. Just putting on melee gloves will not be enough if you have good ranged equipment. You need to make sure your melee stat values are not lesser than your ranged/magic values.
Also it's only the first 2 phases in which this works. The rest of 3 phases are random, but you shouldn't care about that as it hardly matters. The bleed doesnt happen anymore once you phase her to p3.

ive been maxed for a couple years, nex /telos /rax any of those type of bosses just turn me off of rs3 anymore. really wanted to get into endgame pvm but for me seems impossible
