Terrible mic on the mate 20. LG V series comes with 24k/bit audio recording. When you take a video with an LG, the sound quality will sound like a real studio mic. Only a few phones handles that very well. Nokia (the ones with Ozo audio) lg v series, iphone 6 upwards, xperia and a few high end samsung.. But of better studio sound recording, LG V series and Iphone
@psykosonikwarrior that's correct. Also check out the new Nokia phones with ozo audio. They are very great with balanced stereo recording
V 40 records in HI FI stereo..plus in manual has a EQ to ajust mic sound/volume even more.. It's so awesome

I just bought Mate 20 pro but I choose it instead of V40 only for BATTERY

You should have also shown 4k hdr video as well . lg v40 and sony xz3 are the only mobiles capable of doing it
No,Lg v40 is only phone in the world with 4k hdr video in 60fps.Sony have 4k hdr only with 30fps.V40 is the best multimedia phone in the market while mate20 pro is the best power user phone on the market.When it comes to video, audio and manual mode,video postprocessing no one come close to LG.

The V40 actually does not crash using Android Auto like the V30 did. I have a V40 and a Samsung S9+ now, neither crash in Android Auto. The V30 often would crash within 5 minutes using Android Auto.
1:10 - The LG V40 does a lot better! You are wrong about that. The blurry background should be more focused the closer you get to the object. The Mate 20 just blurred out everything which make zero sense.

I hate how punchy the colours are on the V40 where else the mate 20 produces more natural looking images. For video recording, I would say the V40 wins as it has better stabilization and 60fps which is a deal breaker for me but photos, hands down to Huawei as I prefer the natural colour it produces. But then again, it all comes down to personal preferences

Lg phones are most underrated phone, actually I don't why LG has lot of hesitation to advertise the phone like I phone,Samsung,Google , of course lg v40 is not best among competition but it is good phone and pricing some what less than competitors.......
Hi Daniel. Have a question for you. I want the best camera phone...especially night time videos in HD as well as 4 K. I understand pixel 3 is probably the best right now and Huawei night mode etc. but p20 and mate have inconsistency...From all the videos I've watched overall best performing camera for everything is galaxy s9 or s9 plus. Apple x 4 k isn't bad at all but expensive as with pixel. I can now get galaxy s9 plus here for $650...what do you think. Should I go for galaxy s9?

I would say Samsung is very well rounded where the pixel and Huawei is lacking video quality in low light. Samsung is the safer route to take. Especially at that price, it's even better

V30 is more or less the same story. I would imagine "green" is used because the V-Series focuses so heavily on post production HDR.

Even in the auto mode lg V40 gives tough time to the opponent. In manual mode, others won't even stand a chance!!!

It has the fingerprint reader on the back and not in the screen so it's the Huawei mate 20

I They are both great phones. Some things R better than others on each phone but overall, I like the v40. The mate 20 looks like a galaxy with the curved edges but it has a great battery compared to the to the one on the v40. And the in display fingerprint scanner, also the great camera 📸. V40 has the dac and the boombox speaker which is awesome, and I'm sure the display is better than The mate 20.. I like how bOth phones are designed and wish the v40 had a in display fingerprint scanner. If I could find a mate 20 In Philly I may consider getting it but I think I would get the lg v40. Video recording, 5 cameras that are just as good as the mates cameras and any camera on the market. This might be my next phone. I wish the the battery was at least 3500 mah or even 4000. It would be a beast of a phone n I t that it isn't already with all the things it has now.
oRIZinal beatz you are talking about the pro version not the normal one that was used in the video.
It's the Mate 20 with the flat screen in this video not the Pro with the curved screen. Also Pro has a way better display than the V40.

actually correct..Huawei make the mate and P series for Photography and they always advertised it ...for video they actually came up with apps ..but still they priorities the Photography but mange to put OIS in 4K because of the fans
