Thank you very much!! For me, encountering a nautiloid is an extremely rare occurrence.😊 ⛏

I am JELLY for your find, I am lucky enough to be able to go to Scotia Bluffs here in Humboldt County. I found part of a petrified lobster in matrix. Like you say ,where there is one there is more yupp.

Nautiloids are even rarer than ammonites ! A lucky find ❤

Great trip this time !! I really enjoyed seeing the echinoids you found-very beautiful ! That material you showed in the path at the first part of the video looked like shelfstone that has formed in a small cave.Glad to see the cephalopod you found.I know they must be very rare in those sediments. Can you tell me the Portuguese word that you used for the large limestone boulders,I would be interested in knowing what the English equivalent is.Thank you and keep the great videos coming (I can almost feel the fog in those wooded areas!!😄😄

Hello my friend. I'm very happy that you liked the video. That area really is special and I have found very interesting things there, although most of what I find are large Harpagod gastropods. The Portuguese word for rock formations is: Lápias, the translation I found in English is Limestone Pavement.... I don't know if it's correct. The fossils are spectacular but the landscape is even better and walking there early in the morning is a fantastic experience.👍😊🦕🦕⛏

That is a karst landscape where thick layers of layers limestone that were uplifted closer to the surface have gradually dissolved away.
I’ve seen them before in my area here in Alabama where the limestone is much older.

Thank you for the information. Here in Portugal those rock formations are called: Lápias, the translation I found in English is Limestone Pavement .But I didn't know there was a name to characterize the landscape. Thank you very much for the information
