I have the exact same truck, currently 60k on it. Fit, finish, and quality is still better then my last 4 company vehicles and our last 3 family leased vehicles. Total legend of a pickup, and time will only make it better.

Dude, everything you don't like about these, is the shit everyone else does. No serious truck guy wants the turbo 4cylinder, or the ecoboost v6 motors with the timing chain issues. Having just 2 V-8 motors to choose from sounds much better to me. It's the trends the american companies are offering that are ruining the truck market.

while its not as good as its competitors its still a great truck, one of the most refined rides in its segment.

All though it’s starting to shows it’s age it’s still a very reliable truck

That front grill makes it look beastie, and sounds like there's not much you like about it geeze the Tundra deserves better then what your saying,i have the 2018 Tundra and love it,just traded in my 2012,before that I had the 2007,before that the 2000,the front grills look very stylish and beautiful to me,my own feelings of course, go Tundra 👍💙😊...

I am in the process of purchasing one of these and I like that most / all of your negative notes translate to either a neuteral or positive aspect for me 😂 appreciate the video though

Same here! I actually prefer a more simple less edgy look due to knowing I'll probably have some level of scuffing things up in the future with mine. Most of the new trucks feel like I can't really use them as a truck. Let alone it being so reliable compared to the tundra. Cheers on your Tundra man!

No fuel saving tricks but better reliability. GM's AFM has been a disaster with the lifters failing and when mileage gets higher they start burning oil because of the AFM system
Ford and their turbos have had a pile of problems though they may have a handle on it with the 2017 with the duel injection system but it's to soon to know

These trucks are gas hogs but will last way longer then the big 3. Toyota gives Tundra tours at the plant in San Antonio.

Honestly this review sucks. I watch some of your videos and please stick with luxury vehicles. Apparently you dont understand what a truck is for. Its not for features or luxury , pick up trucks are for hauling towing off roading its a work truck....You talk about competition and its features , if you know ford chevy and ram keep adding and adding more features there for more and more owners features keep failing and becoming less reliable mechanically where as toyota has more thing in mind THE LESS THE BETTER and have more focus on mechanical works.

Well, you *are* in the base SR5 trim level, hence the "OK" interior. Its not like you are in the luxurious and decked out 1794 edition.

Toyota really needs to step up their game. This was the truck that was changing it all back in 2007, but now it's the truck that won't improve.

@@Podcastforthewin i have a down payment on a 2023 tundra but am going to refund it if I get a thumbs up from my mechanic on the 2017 Tundra I just out a down payment on. I hope the v6 twin turbo turns out to be super reliable but I don't want to be the guinea pig for 15% fuel savings and an extra 20 grand or more up front.

Toyota has ALWAYS been slow to innovate. Their thing is being supremely reliable and thus having great resale value.

Like I said. Just my opinion. I didnt say Toyota are junk. I've worked in a tundra, worked in a Silverado and now own the new Colorado. Gm has been labeled as bad quality but the fact is 3 of their 4 brands have been in the top 6 JD power rankings for years now. Gm is not the same company they were in the early 2000's.

I love Tundras but I can't trade my 2009 for a new one. the new grille reminds me of my grampas old 60s truck. I'll wait till Toyota gets their shit strait. it's just one horrible front end design. 😝😝😝😝😝😝😝

    • @skyisdlimit6125

Yeah I can't wait to see the redesign and maybe 8AT from Lexus. I also hope for a flat floor from the rear seat like the f150.
