One of the best sounding if not THE best sounding kit I've ever heard. Just so much richness and complexity to every note. Resonating indeed, which is the point! Great mic setup too and excellent playing. Looked at the gallery and they look beautiful too.

To make a drumset like this is one thing; to, knowing how it's made, from cutting the tree to making the lumber to making the shells and the hardware... and seeing that I can get a kit just like that for 3 grands...??! Why would I want anything else is beyond me. That's the price point of any "USA custom" mass-produced kit. The Union series is a great name - how can a company like yours make a kit so affordable?! The average snare drum you make cost 1200 CAD or more. I remember playing and N&C kit on shedding sessions in Saint-Laurent college. Beautiful :)

There beautiful, glad to see the birth of this kit using tulip wood. Will you be offering solid shell kits in tulip as well? That would be amazing as well.

Why have a hole in the bass drum front head? Why let all that tone dissolve out a hole/,? Doesn’t that stifle the beauty that the shell can produce?
    Mic from the outside!!!?????

First of all, that hole is called a vent. No, it doesn't dissolve the tone. Vents have been in drums since snares been invented. In fact, it helps the tuning of the drum. If you were to not have a vent hole, then the overtones would be overwhelming. Every single drum company use vents.
Second of all, what are you talking about? Drum microphone at 99.9% of the time set-up on the outside of the drums, not on the inside. How exactly would you mount a drum microphone on the inside of a shell...? I'm not sure to follow you here. Would you mic a guitar from the inside? Of course not. That would sound like a hollow chamber. Because it's not meant to project inside itself. So is a drum the same way.
No offense, but this comment display and unfathomable amount of ignorance about drums and how they work.
