i know this response may be a bit late (/s), but alt art/drawing was just the artstyles paired with mainly colourful art supplies, and many other aspects. it was mainstream during the 2020-2021 kidcore/dreamcore/weirdcore era, the styles i listed mainly take inspiration from the 80's rebellion acts(i think) (decorakei, kandi, etc.). these styles aren't used too much any more, and weren't too popular to begin with, but artists such as bubb.leyy i think got popular from their artstyle. overall, the artstyles deal with mainly colourful, contrasting pieces, but if the artist was weirdcore, goblincore, etc. then (2020-2021), their artstyle most likely included more dull colours. most of my info is from memory, so hopefully i got something right, especially since i was a kidcore person then lol.
