You guys are the truth! This podcast was dope for many reasons, chief amongst them being: 1. Raymond was an incredible guest 2. You guys facilitated the conversation to have a balance of being insightful yet fun and lighthearted. Great job!
It is so awesome to see content creators from East Africa supporting each other. Eventually, these brands will catch up. Keep going and you will win later. The way East Africa is set up, they believe by seeing others make noise about it. Slow to action mostly. The day we wake up and perhaps an international brand applauds you, they will then start calling. There were 11.77 million internet users in Uganda in January 2023 out of a population of 49 million. Most used socials, Facebook and Tiktok. That is an issue. However, we are not going to forever be stuck with a generation that does not appreciate content creation while the rest of the world is. You will win.
I am giving Mantalk Ke a new name. The University of Mantalk Ke (TUMK) . I learn so much, and my world has been broadened by your content. I am now going to check out your guests content. I truly appreciate the work you do. #1 fan!!!!! Hongera, Mantalk juu, juu zaidi!!!!!!!🎉🎉🎉
I agree with that lady's unpopular opinion. I live in Europe, and in my workplace and at university, black men disrespect us black women, but they are so respectful to white women. I often feel harrassed by my African brothers, especially how they make inappropriate comments to me yet they would not make such comments to white women. This has led me to have a loathing for my fellow African men.
its the same case for way for black women women. They tend to respect white men over black men. A black woman will chose a white man all the time over a black man.
Its a sick stereotype and a sick sense of the mindset thats projected into society by a definition of beauty! Its at the foundation of families. Iv spoken to a mother who asked me if I had creams to change her daughters skin color because she was too dark. Guys this stereotype is at the core of a child's space and so little girls grow up thinking black isn't beautiful, isn't successful, isn't a vibe! It's got to stop and guess what? You men are at the center of it!! You project to the world what beauty is....
