For anyone wondering about the storyline: the story revolves around Shouko Nishimiya, an elementary school student whom has severe hearing loss. She transfers into a new school, where she is bullied by her classmates. Shouya Ishida, one of the bullies, bullies her to the point that she transfers to another school once again. As a result, he is ostracized and bullied himself, with no friends to speak of and no plans for the future. Years later, he sets himself on a path to redemption; to right the wrong he has inflicted onto both of their lives (mainly Shouko).

Something about this movie just always resonated with me. I think it shines a light on the absolute terror and pain bullying can cause to kids growing up. It shows that a bully sometimes is a product of him being bullied. And unfortunately I was no exception, I was a bigger kid my whole life and always felt the need to change the focus on myself and onto other kids. As much as I don’t want to admit it I was a bully. Roasting and poking fun at kids that were different, nerdy, bigger, unathletic etc. I think it’s almost karma for the lonely and lost feeling that I have in adulthood. I sometimes regret and wish I could make amends with some of the kids that I felt I was mean to. This movie really dives deep into the fact that the bully became the bullied. But it was the dead of winter and I was sitting outside in a storm with my headset on, and idk why but those feelings I had then come back when I listen to this, just this weird calming eerieness, it's hard to put it into words even, but to everyone going through a time where you feel like everything is falling apart around you, give it time. For the strangest reason the “don’t leave this town my dear’ reminds me of one of my closet friends mars’. I’m not sure if I’m even able to call them a friend after all that’s happened. Their mom found some things out and now its too late. It hurts because they helped me so much, they didn’t even realize. I was in love with them for the longest. I’m sure everyone was. They were such an amazing person. They helped me through anything they could. When my mom found out i cut my hair and she threatened me, they helped. Whenever I relapsed they’d kiss my cuts and scars. When i hadn’t or had barely eaten that day they made me eat. They would do anything they could to help anyone. I cried in class so many times and they just held me. We have so many memories and it hurts to have to let go. When i found out about the whole situation with them i had a full on break down. They helped me so fucking much, and for what them to become a memory? It hurts, so please beautiful people. Go tell your friends how much you love and care for them. Before its too late.

I’ve suffered with depression and anxiety and just being anti social with people just because of a situation that happened a long time ago and in the movie they covered those topics and I realized there’s more people like me in the world I just haven’t met them. And the song choice has got me threw some stuff too. And after X passed that summer I just crumbled, that shit really hurt me even tho I didn’t know him personally this song got me threw some hard times so that shit was hard. Evan tho I still suffer with depression and anxiety just those two pieces of media helped me threw it. Thank you Jah for being around and the creator of this video. ❤️

Something about this movie just always resonated with me. I think it shines a light on the absolute terror and pain bullying can cause to kids growing up. It shows that a bully sometimes is a product of him being bullied. And unfortunately I was no exception, I was a bigger kid my whole life and always felt the need to change the focus on myself and onto other kids. As much as I don’t want to admit it I was a bully. Roasting and poking fun at kids that were different, nerdy, bigger, unathletic etc. I think it’s almost karma for the lonely and lost feeling that I have in adulthood. I sometimes regret and wish I could make amends with some of the kids that I felt I was mean to. This movie really dives deep into the fact that the bully became the bullied. His life was forever changed after what happened and he spent his entire life trying to make it right. Such a beautiful movie. My favorite anime movie next to Your Name

i first saw this video 4 years ago, little did i know how it would affect my life. this video introduced me to scott james whose music helped me through a really rough time where i went through a pretty bad depression, and afterwards helped me to get into not only anime but as i got more and more into fitness led me to x's music and helped me to better myself, overall this is one of those weird life changing things, 4 minutes and 4 years of influece, so thank you for this weird shitty little video that has postively affected my life

I saw this video and it hit something inside of me. A couple months later I decided to watch a movie because in the description it talked about suicide. As soon as it started it hit me. I was watching with my younger bro and I was in pain knowing what play ahead while knowing he had no clue. #ignorance is bliss
