      Not really he didn’t sell many ppv after his Conor fight. It’s more so legacy he’s 29-0 with 16 being outside ufc and 13 of those only 6 good wins compare that too other goats who have many more better wins and title defenses.       @@m.r.a7992 He was a weight bully who was 20-0 fighting tomato cans, he got ragdolled by Tibau and he only fought 3/4 elite fighters in his whole career. He didn't fight the best lw in the division (not including himself) at the time who was on the longest win streak in UFC lw in history at the time. There were other contenders too and fighters he didn't fight too.
      Vacuuming the division is what Islam is doing, it's what Stipe did at heavyweight (till he got told old) and what Jon Jones did at light heavyweight.

    I always understood why Khabib retired. His father was more than his father. He was his teacher, his coach, his trainer, his mentor, and that voice in the corner since he was on that tape wrestling that baby bear. When you lose someone like that, things aren't the same. A part of you dies.

      i can relate, my dad taught me mechanics and i spent 25yrs working on cars from what he taught me, with my dad advising me all the time until the end of his life, my level of knowledge never reached his level. since he died i haven't touched a car except putting air in my tyres, and topping up the washer fluid. i haven't even done an oil change for 3 years.

    A fighter who isnt solely motivated by money but rather his own legacy and family is an enigma to Dana.
    Khabib absolutely could have had a few more fights and made millions more but he didnt feel the need to. He and his family will live comfortably thanks to his earnings and for him that is enough.
    He does not require the yachts or groupies or Conor to feel fufillment.

      Khabib fought 3 good guys and then just quit before ever facing any real pressure. Skills very good, but resume is seriously lacking. If you steamroll your weight division this easily you should move up in weight to prove yourself. Khabib took easy route, no goat.

They’re technically undefeated but Jon always had the tougher set of opponents, Kabib till he was 20-0 fought a bunch of nobodies. Kabib is one of the goats no doubt but I don’t ever see him being the one and only goat unless he defended the title another 15 times and remained undefeated.

      If he didn’t get injured he would have been the one facing Eddie but he had to sit out for 2 years and watch that opportunity pass by.
