Are you sure that was a drone? I think they may have Paul McBeth throwing this course with a GoPro taped to the bottom. JK that was some amazing flying.
Yeah! When playing disc golf you usually look back to the tee from the basket to get better picture of the hole. Amazingly the same works for the drone footage especially when the flight pace is fast enough.
Love the graphics. Jomez and CCDG could learn from this and Gatekeeper Media's shot count (helping commentators). Incredible drone piloting, though a tad dizzying at times ..lol.
Thanks solotrekker! The graphics generate a lot of work. You have to change score graphics at least 4 times per hole and more if there are penalties. Changing the graphics requires Photoshop work each time and you have to have checking routines to avoid mistakes. If you do mistakes you have to usually redo everything regarding the graphics. The editors who do shot count graphics are doing even bigger job because it requires them to change graphics about three times more. I don't wonder why Gatekeeper Media has given up on the shot count graphics for their newest season videos. But for sure I would love to see all the helping graphics in every video.

The FPS and resolution trade off is an interesting topic. 60 fps helps with the fast moving stuff and 4K gives more detailed image that helps to see everything better, but you cannot have both with a reasonable budget. To me more detailed image matters more so we favor 4K over 60fps. Fortunately some day in the future there will be suitable cameras released and then we will go for 4K @ 60fps.
In my opinnion higher resolution is more desirable for Disc Golf footage than higher framerate which doesn't really add anything to the experience. Higher resolution really helps with the clarity and it shows the beauty of the courses in full detail.

Regarding hole #1: The commentators are confusingly calling the hazard area rule as 'buncr rule', which is a non-standard rule where any OB shot must be rethrown from the original lie, and there's no OB penalty. That rule is apparently not applied here.

He apparently plays perfectly until we watch him in final round coverage lol. I feel like he tries too hard when in the lead and ends up OB too much. He needs to be in lead card Worlds, though.
