As always, love the content of what you’re saying. Been a subscriber for over a year now. I know you’re working on the next phase of the channel, and I think this general direction has potential, but 2 things, as a viewer, took me out of this: some of the text was unreadable because of colors were too similar to the background, and be mindful of your gain and proximity effect on the mic. For newbies considering your channel as a go to place for music career advice, it’s not a good look if blowing out their ears with your plosives, ya know? Looking forward to future videos 🤘🏽
@@robertsteinberger I know he is. But there are hundreds of producer/engineers on RUclips that people can take advice from. I think people who come across this as his first video they see may not take his advice seriously if there is newb stuff like that on there. I could be totally wrong and time will tell, but it was distracting to me. If he’s changing things up and trying to make this channel the best it can be, I would think he would want honest feedback from viewers.
The fact is I had only so much time to make this and a setting in the mic got Fucked up. The sound will be better next time but unfortunately I missed a noise gate that got weird and had to severely compress. Next time will be way better

But I'm enjoying what I've seen so far, aside from the mic being a little too hot. That's an easy fix for next time though. I'm Brazilian and I wanted to promote my music to the USA, but I don't know how, mainly because most of the social media algorithms promote posts to people that live nearby and I don't have the money to move there and make live performances. Most people tell me to just use a VPN but I would really love to hear your thoughts about this concept!
I really like you trying out new formats, however, this was very distracting from all the valuable information you have to offer. It sucks theyre not getting the views they deserve, but your old format is kinda.. well.. REALLY good when you want to learn something
14:48 here's a video idea, move the mic away from you lips. It keeps you from making out with the microphone, and it helps your audience understand you better. ;)

Took some time to create a music video for our first single, The Labyrinth, which resulted in 10x more views than normal, including 2k in the first couple days! Used the 'Spectacle' (psychedelic) mixed with the 'Who We Are' (artrock) formats. 1 day of storyboarding/planning + 1 day of shooting + 2 weeks of editing everything ourselves all paid off! Is there a way to do a good video without being in the video yourself? I'd imagine the 'visual spectacle" would fall into that category, like some radiohead videos. But is a radiohead style video like that effective if you aren't already established?

Honestly I’ve found the higher the production value on music marketing videos, the less useful the info is that’s shared. If the quality is amazing, I can be certain I’m watching a grifter that’s never practiced what they preached and are going to try and sell me on a useless course/program.
