For the paint, you can actually make by mixing plaster of Paris and water soluble acrylic paint. Cutting thin plywood is not so difficult with a regular saw. So can cut the edge banding similar. Few nails are all you need to put it together. Or may be choose a wall and paint on it. It's all about getting creative...lol. thanks for stopping by!.

Its can be made by adding plaster of paris to regular paint but getting them from amazon would be a lot easier and cheaper

It has no specific brand. Available in local shops . Its decent enough for projects like these.
This calk board paint can be use on white wall to make it blackboard ....
Yes. But you might need to prepare the wall to accept this paint. If its got distemper paint or emulsion already, it shouldn't be a problem.
