Eleven years ago, in the process of getting sober, I learned the importance of gratitude. Being greatful for something each and every day no matter how dark things may seem at the time. I found that many times I was most greatful for someone I had come in contact with that had impacted my life in some way at the time. It never fails, every time I make an attempt to establish a routine, it never lasts. The reason is, my life is so busy and me having a routine means I will have to say no to my church, to my family and sometimes to my work. It makes me feel guilty. However I recognize not saying no is also neglecting myself and wellbeing. Time just slips past me daily...... I like the sofa. Can’t wait till the apartment is complete and you do a tour!
I will do another apartment tour. We must learn how to say no. First, say no for ourselves because we need ourselves too. Second, say no for the people we truly love and want to serve. We cannot give from an empty or half-filled cup. Saying no confidently really means saying YES, loving to someone or something that truly is a priority in your life. I have a mason jar where I write on small pieces of paper with memories I want to remember, and go through them at the end of the year. Write the date on them. I think Katherout recommended this??
I do this as well. I decorated a large Jar and call it My Gratitude Jar. I leave it by my front door with colorful scrape book paper and pens and try to write one thing I am grateful for each day. Positive items only!!. At the end of the year or sometimes whenever I 'm feeling out of sorts, I start reading through to center and remind myself of how much I truly have to be grateful for. I encourage other family and friends to add to as well so we can look back over the year and reflect on what's really important.
I am the same way. I am on the go non-stop and I'm always thinking. I can't seem to ever shut my thoughts off so that I can just relax. I always tell others to practice self-care, but I have a hard time doing it myself.
I love these. I just cut my hair as well and let me tell you as a natural hair care products are priceyyy and I’ve saved so much on cutting back on that alone. I’m only a sophomore in college but i want to start practicing financial responsibility and it feels so good to just be on top of things. I’m a planner and journal girl too lol❤️I’ve become quite the minimalist and I love it.

I am SO glad I came across this video. I'm currently dealing with major depression and anxiety and you don't know how much this video has helped and motivated me to take the needed steps to "self care." I love how open and honest you are about your mental health journey.
your videos make me smile. so , inspiring. i go with the flow, i use to be uptight, and always in a rush. it was affecting my mental health. so , i had to slow down. i suffer from chronic pain, so i can't work all the time, i'm on disability. but i do love to volunter. when i'm able. and my life seem's so much happier. i see my therapist and make's me feel even better.. get all that emotions out feels great. self care is very important for the mind and body
she's a scammer.She has new food in her pantries she's never shown before. For someone literally pinching pennies, the only way she's been able to save is by people giving her money. She's so dumb. She's lazy and thinks if she works for 7 weeks she needs a 7 day break, if she works for 1 year she needs a 1 year break. She works part time because she's lazy.

It gave my “Office Closed” system validation and additional ideas. “Office Closed” is my one weekend day where I do not answer the phone, go anywhere & I just relax and take care of things around my home. The idea of getting my clothes ready for the week is something I’ve been working on for a while. Great video!

When I tell you that I love your thought processes...man. People underestimate the power of fresh air. My partner will keep our home closed up like a fortress all year long. I tend to wait for times when she's not around and open the windows for some fresh air. Another excellent video, Ms. Stacey!
I am in love with this couch. I would be exhausted after all that cleaning then have to meal prep. That’s more dishes. Dishes suck but I just started doing two new things that made me love it. 1. I bought a dish brush. It’s quicker and feels more sanitary 2. I bought different dish detergent due to one of my fave RUclipsr. I use mrs. Meyers and it never leaves that stinky dish washing smell on your hands and it’s like aroma therapy. On the clothes, I pick out the clothes for the week. I have always wanted to do that and it keeps you from rushing in the mornings and feeling later. Im going to try and stop commenting so long lol.
You have a great approach to recharging on Sundays! I really enjoyed this post. Your beauutiful image in front of that lovely ("big, comfy") couch only added to the total package. Your apartment is becoming your "home". Can't wait for an update.

Absolutely loved this! You seriously need to release a planner! I think despite your current situation you seem to be on this journey of mastering yourself mentally and being so self aware. I would definately buy a planner from you that encorperated everything you mentioned in this video that also encorperated stuff around mental well being! Kella LaFaire I maintain my motivation because I have 3 things. 1. Perspective. I know where I started so regardless of where you think I should be I’m doing good in comparison to my starting line. 2. I have a proven plan. Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University works. So I don’t have to rely on my own strength or understanding I rely on his plan because he has evidence that it works. 3. I have patience. Debt freedom is a long game. It took me about a decade to create this debt so I give myself grace to repay it. It will be done because I maintain my perspective, follow my plan, and practice patience. 💜 thank you so much for watching and commenting.

Miss Stacey, You do indeed appear to be a refreshingly flowering individual. I realize it's getting chilly up there in that old Chicago, but one of my questions is what do you do about exercise, recreation, getting out of the house, in your planning?
I do a gratitude walk every morning rain, snow or shine. I'm just now adding a proper exercise routine to my life. Entrepreneurship nearly requires it! LOL I will share more details soon.
Love this. You inspired me to try and do something like this. I'm 100% disabled and very ill so I must admit many days I don't try to do as much self care as I should. Some days I am too sick to do them but other days I could do more than I try but I've fallen into a rut of not putting effort there. I think I need to rethink that and find ways to try and do at least a little more self care on the days I am able to. Thanks for this Vlog. I needed to here why it's ok to spend more of my limited energy on pampering self care. 💜. I have several illnesses including Congestive Heart Failure with an EF of 15. Which means my heart only pumps at 15% so I'm on oxygen and sleep in a lift chair and uses canes and walkers when I can walk. And 6 weeks ago I broke my right humerus (upper arm bone) plus I'm legally blind so it's a little more effort than when I was healthy and had correctable eyesight. I had started giving up self care a little at a time over the last year now that I reflect. As I said some days I am too ill for self care however other days I just haven't put in the effort I could and should. I think if I step that up it will be more encouraging to me because I will feel better from the self care, I will feel the pride of accomplishment, and I will look better to my sweet supportive spouse that he can enjoy a better and prettier me. You are oh so very welcome. Something that may help also is for you to decide how you want to live the remainder of your life. It sounds like a lot of your illnesses are not immediately terminal. To me, this means that you are going to be alive for at least another 20+ years. Every day I'd ask myself "Is this how I want to live for the next 20+ years?" If the answer is no, then I'd take teeny tiny baby steps every day to improve my quality of life within the parameters of my limitations. I'd start with diet and work my way outward. @@lisaraeschriver1837Give yourself a limit on how many plans you can write down. For example, are you planning appointments, events, tasks, and to-dos all in one day/week? That's a lot to check off. So try planning appointments only and then see if you check each of those off. Next limit yourself to 3 To Dos a day and try executing those. BetterHelp has been the subject of lots of criticism lately, so I caution others to do some research before signing up with them. You are billed $260 monthly which, for some, is quite a bit more than a session with a local in-person therapist would cost. They state in their Terms of Service that they don’t guarantee the legitimacy of their own services or the verification of their therapists’ credentials. The TOS also says that the BetterHelp platform is not intended for diagnosis. It is so hard to struggle alone with mental health issues, and I hope that members of this community are able to find the help they need without being taken advantage of by companies who may not have their be$t intere$t at heart.

Kella LaFaire I maintain my motivation because I have 3 things. 1. Perspective. I know where I started so regardless of where you think I should be I’m doing good in comparison to my starting line. 2. I have a proven plan. Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University works. So I don’t have to rely on my own strength or understanding I rely on his plan because he has evidence that it works. 3. I have patience. Debt freedom is a long game. It took me about a decade to create this debt so I give myself grace to repay it. It will be done because I maintain my perspective, follow my plan, and practice patience. 💜 thank you so much for watching and commenting.

Miss Stacey, You do indeed appear to be a refreshingly flowering individual. I realize it's getting chilly up there in that old Chicago, but one of my questions is what do you do about exercise, recreation, getting out of the house, in your planning?
I do a gratitude walk every morning rain, snow or shine. I'm just now adding a proper exercise routine to my life. Entrepreneurship nearly requires it! LOL I will share more details soon.

Love this. You inspired me to try and do something like this. I'm 100% disabled and very ill so I must admit many days I don't try to do as much self care as I should. Some days I am too sick to do them but other days I could do more than I try but I've fallen into a rut of not putting effort there. I think I need to rethink that and find ways to try and do at least a little more self care on the days I am able to. Thanks for this Vlog. I needed to here why it's ok to spend more of my limited energy on pampering self care. 💜.
I have several illnesses including Congestive Heart Failure with an EF of 15. Which means my heart only pumps at 15% so I'm on oxygen and sleep in a lift chair and uses canes and walkers when I can walk. And 6 weeks ago I broke my right humerus (upper arm bone) plus I'm legally blind so it's a little more effort than when I was healthy and had correctable eyesight. I had started giving up self care a little at a time over the last year now that I reflect. As I said some days I am too ill for self care however other days I just haven't put in the effort I could and should. I think if I step that up it will be more encouraging to me because I will feel better from the self care, I will feel the pride of accomplishment, and I will look better to my sweet supportive spouse that he can enjoy a better and prettier me. So thank you for giving me insight so that I can make positive change in my life.

You are oh so very welcome. Something that may help also is for you to decide how you want to live the remainder of your life. It sounds like a lot of your illnesses are not immediately terminal. To me, this means that you are going to be alive for at least another 20+ years. Every day I'd ask myself "Is this how I want to live for the next 20+ years?" If the answer is no, then I'd take teeny tiny baby steps every day to improve my quality of life within the parameters of my limitations. I'd start with diet and work my way outward. Very helpful. I'm a planner. I love to organize . But the thing is I don't execute most of what I plan. But this video has turned on a light in my head as to just try 7 things.. THANK YOU FOR SHARING
This is a huge problem for me as well. Anyone have any advice on how to turn it around? I beat myself up at the end of the day and it is so unhealthy.
I'd do a little journaling where you ask yourself why you don't execute what you plan. You are so very welcome!
@@lisaraeschriver1837Give yourself a limit on how many plans you can write down. For example, are you planning appointments, events, tasks, and to-dos all in one day/week? That's a lot to check off. So try planning appointments only and then see if you check each of those off. Next limit yourself to 3 To Dos a day and try executing those. BetterHelp has been the subject of lots of criticism lately, so I caution others to do some research before signing up with them.
You are billed $260 monthly which, for some, is quite a bit more than a session with a local in-person therapist would cost. They state in their Terms of Service that they don’t guarantee the legitimacy of their own services or the verification of their therapists’ credentials. The TOS also says that the BetterHelp platform is not intended for diagnosis.
It is so hard to struggle alone with mental health issues, and I hope that members of this community are able to find the help they need without being taken advantage of by companies who may not have their be$t intere$t at heart.

Fetlange Ottilien is start with therapy to truly figure out who I am. If that’s to expensive then I’d do personality assessments. Strength Finders and Myers Briggs are my favorite. 💜

She has new food in her pantries she's never shown before. For someone literally pinching pennies, the only way she's been able to save is by people giving her money. She's so dumb.
