You know that atheism is also a religion? Atheists believe that they are the God. Atheists believe that they are imbued with the ability to ascertain the wonders of the universe without access to evidence to the contrary.
Dawkins made a fool of himself recently by saying similar things about Christian values, so I find it amusing that other atheists are following the lead of one their prophets.
I like Dawkins very much. He’s clearly endowed with huge intellectual capacity, but the irony of my relationship with Dawkins is that I too was an atheist, until I read the God Delusion. Then I realised that I cannot possibly be an atheist because I am a mere mortal organism, with no greater knowledge than anyone else as to the workings of the universe or any plane beyond. So why aren’t you agnostic I hear you say? Because as Dawkins points out, agnosticism or ‘hedging your bets’ as it’s otherwise known, is what weak people do.

Freedom of speech should be only in a respectfull and heedful manner otherwise it can cause chaos and disturbance in society.
The bishop offers context to what you say when he says "The West has failed to give purpose". "respectfull and heedful manner" is not natural or instinctive, it is grown out of the charter of faith, and Australia has lost touch with it's charter of faith.
