Bravo, Nathan Chen. The French commentators are very enthused about your work here (your technical level is exceptional, your program is fantastic). Oh la la! Thank you, Yamazaki.
@@21yamazaki33 You heard it right. It was mostly Monfort, the Sport commentator, who exclaimed "parfait" a few times. Candeloro followed Chen's jumps closely and said that they were really "magnifique", that Chen had the disposition to give it all, that despite the Japanese audience's adoration for Hanyu they still supported the American skater because he was superb and they knew the techniques. Annick Dumont, the French figure skating coach added up Chen's scores from his jumps while projecting the outcome. In the end, Monfort asked if Chen had a chance despite Hanyu's extraordinary program? Annick said: This is more than extraordinary, it's something never seen ("c' est du jamais vu"). You know you’ve done good when you get a big smile like that out of Raf. That was so baller. In Japan, in Hanyu’s house, he comes through with two nearly flawless programs and wins by a mile. Outstanding. Note that quad lutz almost got a + 5 on GOE. And credit the Japanese fans. I think Japan and Canada are the best audiences for skating because they will go nuts for their own skaters but they are so supportive and enthusiastic for anyone who skates well. Did Nathan get the same rabid reaction as Yuzu? Of course not. But the entire crowd immediately leapt to their feet and cheered for what was a legendary performance, even though it surely meant that he’d squarely beat their hero. Props.
Thank you. I can't get enough of this program and its execution. 💖💖💖

It sounds like Philippe Candeloro said c'est parfait, and c'est la perfection many times!

Sheila Bloom Yuzu always will be one of my favorites. I love both skaters; not one versus the other. They’re both extraordinary
