Yeah maybe for average people who only want to gig a bit for fun.. in reality, nobody really wants to go see someone who plays a little of everything. They'd rather see ppl specialize at a certain thing.
@@SixStringSlinger1 that's funny because the dance variety band that I play guitar for, I've made more money with that than I've ever made playing metal. If you're a serious pro level musician that wants to make money, develop the ability to play country, country country rock, light jazz, disco, Rock, oldies etc. Not only will you become a demand by bands that actually work, the experiences will make you 10 times the guitar player that you already are. If that's not your bag, that's cool, but until you actually tried it you can't really diss it. I am 57, back in the 1980s, I played thrash metal and punk, the band had an international following, everyone else made money off of us, but us. Soon as I opened my mind and started learning other styles of guitar it opened up a lot more possibilities for me so that I don't have to have a day job asking do you want fries with that or swinging a hammer in the hot desert sun for 10 hours a day, or you could just play in a country rock dance variety band and make between 100 and 200 for 3- 4 hours of your time. Metal is for little kids and guys that have never grown up that are stuck on being angry all the time. I can truthfully say that cuz I used to be that Guy. When it comes to making money as a musician do you selfishly play what you like, or do you look at the big picture in real life you can make a living off of playing variety music and never have to have a stupid day job. There are several Jimi songs that are the first Heavey metal riffs in history, starting with Foxey Lady, Purple Haze, Manic Depression, Fire, Can you see me to name a few, the live in Monterey and Woodstock and they are the primordial metal concerts of history, if you listen to the song Woodstock Inprovisation and clearly Heavey Metal, furthermore there are also songs that can be considered the first Grunge, Jimi and it was the big bang of rock and modern derivatives
Do you have a made in Japan strat? I have heard that they have a different and unique sound, and I would like to see a demonstration of one. I myself have a 1998 made in Mexico strat, that I had customized, It has tiger stripe pick guard, aged white volume and tone knobs, Wilkinson vintage tremolo, fender pure vintage 61' single coils, Music lily rolling string trees, and fender custom shop reissue 61' strat neck. It is burgundy colored. I like to play it through my 79' Music Man hd 130 half stack, or my 84 Roland Jazz chorus. And I prefer to string it with D Adario 10s. Sweet Man! OOOOOOKAY let’s see if we are going off of that to be medal than you really got me by the kinks must be medal and if those two are medal than Boris the spider must be devil warship
He had “ForeThought” not hindsight. And nobody calls him slim Jim Hendrix but you lol 😂 Cheers tho just picking a little I enjoy your vids keep playing and who cares what you play as long as it makes you happy.
dude! if you're trying to really challenge yourself than I got just the artist for you, Buckethead. And I don't mean the airy slow songs, I'm talking about songs like "welcome to buckethead land" that will destroy your hand and leave you at the hospital *He's not a metal artist (even though I'm sure he's probobly made atleast one metal album) but he's incerible
thats cool, but if you want to be a metahead you might want to immerse yourself in a little more extreme stuff. pantera was my intro to metal then thrash then some deathcore then old school death metal then like grind slam and brutal death metal
Did you know Jimi Hendrix also invented nu metal? In 1960-whatever, Hendrix recorded a demo tape of him going through a bout of explosive diarrhea while playing his fender (Gibson is better idc what you say), hence creating nu metal.
@naskivik just took a quick listen. It's just heavy acid music, like white rabbit by jefferson airplane. The 60s guitar effects were fuzzy but sabbath was pure gain. Listen to snowblind by Black Sabbath. That's real early metal.
Honestly, at this point, I don't think I'll be surprised if someone told me Jimi invented pentatonic scales and vacuum cleaners.
Nah he created gravity and the solar system
@@El3rnate no surprises dude. No surprises
@@sangminwoo3646He is doing my mother
Helter skelter is metal

A little known fact is that jimi hendrix also invented the guitar itself
😂 Wat a funfact ❤
No no... that was George Washington
@Cayden-lc1le you all have utterly disappointed me. It was obviously Dr. Pepper.
Yes. And this was of course after Hendrix discovered electricity as well as gravity, physics, he also invented sound too
@@corvanj8766Wrong. It was Uncle Ben
Jimi Hendrix created electricity to make his guitar louder
Muddy Waters invented electricity, Hendrix perfected it
W darkthrone pfp
Most people don’t know that Jimi Hendrix also invented music which is kinda interesting
No no.... that was George Thorogood
Obviously it was Dave mustaine
That slide sounds like the opening riff on a disney channel show in 2007 XD
Kinda sounds like that Tame Impala song (Less I Know The Better)
“Jimi plays down strokes that would make james hetfield feel jealous”
Now thats the most ridiculous thing ive heard today 😂😂😂
Hetfield’s right hand any time he’s performing: I am speed
Hendrix’s right: I sped
“Jimi plays down strokes that would make James hetfield jealous” as the strumming pattern is DDUDD💀
This guy really invented and contributed to so many genres, just another reason why he’s the goat
True, Hendrix also invented breathing.
Somehow we all knew he would say Hendrix
Then a year later, Black Sabbath recorded the real first metal song
From the album black sabbath right?
Thats also based on the movie black sabbath
With title track, black sabbath
Black Sabbath was a blues rock of their first album, even the sound of guitar sound like blues.
This dude reminds me of a slightly better watch mojo for guitar
Bro worships jimi Hendrix 💀💀💀
as well he should. im a death metal guitarist (slam, grind, tech, old school, all of it) and i have seven pictures of hendrix around my house😂
As he should srv did too
« Jimi played downstrokes that would make James Hetfield jealous »
That’s an insult to James Hetfield lol
At this point, I think that he’d say that jimmy Hendrix is also a electro pop star
Just waiting for a jimi hendrix created guitar video now
Little known fact, Jimi invented fingers in order to hold his guitar pick just so he could invent double
Stops
The Beatles wrote a much heavier riff than that just a year later.
Curious which song?
@@charliehewett5034Helter skelter
I'd hardly call it heavier.

By 69 Sabbath brought in the same sound and made a whole other genre. The influence is deep.

being a metal head is one dimensional, play ALL styles, you'll find paying gigs that way.

Slim Jim Hendrix invented the sine wave and all of music theory by the age of 16
this is not the beginning of metal.. The Beatles started metal with Helter Skelter!
