I was a young teen when The Animals were releasing songs like this. At the time, they were just some among many popular English artists we heard here in NZ. Sadly, it has taken until about 5 yrs ago for me to gradually realise how much more R&B than Pop the Animals were, as opposed to The Beatles' covers. With every old vid like this I discover, I find more reasons to elevate this band in my esteem.

I knew Hilton when I was living in London during the 70s. He chanted Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo along with the same Buddhist group as me. Sandy Shaw, Tina Turner, Boy George and Orlando Bloom, along with so many others also chant. Hilton was a kind and gentle guy and I'm confident that he has gone to his real home now, the same magnificent and colourful Light that I visited during 1970 and during a near-death experience (NDE). I'm certain that Hilton's enjoying the best time of his life there. Thanks for the music and your kind friendship mate :)
