This time the police stopped them. I hear the human rights excuse being used, but is just an excuse to cover over their criminality. They are over here because no other country would stand for it. A friend of mine was asked by travellers if he wanted to sell his truck. Obviously he did not want to sell it to them. He sold it on later. He then had a group of travellers call to his house and they told him that they had a buyer lined up for his van and they could have made a profit. Because he had sold it to someone else they were out of pocket and demanded compensation. He gave the thieving bastards £300 to go away. That "offensive" song is based on what is going on out there. I am an engineer and I never hear stories about engineers thieving, shitting in the hedge etc because it is not what we do.

However, before the last travellers left they felt the need to set the park on fire and then litter it with broken glass. That is far more detrimental to your position than mine, the park will be repaired very soon. The damage to the opinion from local people about travellers has just took a massive hit that will last for years. Another group of travellers has just now arrived to take their place. Where I live a group of French travellers arrive and park locally twice a year. They cause no problems whatsoever and leave the site spotless.
