      Glad I read this as hadn't noticed, for me most of the point with Osprey is the non sweaty back!

      It always was that and its more stable than that AG bullcrap... When u break that mesh system the backpack is useless...

    Small pockets on the hip belt! Why weren't they made big? Is it that hard? But on the Aether Pro version they did! And there is no smartphone pocket on the shoulder strap. Sucks!

    And how do you close the top with the cord. The plastic clip is so strong (and you hav to pull to open?!?!?) that you can’t just pull the chord without the fear of ripping the clip off or damaging the chord. Where’s the magic trick to close the top?

    What do you recommend? The osprey aether plus 70l or the osprey aether pro 70l?

    • @Enwild
      @Enwild  2 года назад +5

      Hi there! It depends on what you're looking for- the Aether Pro is a streamlined pack without external pockets, whereas the Plus has side water bottle pockets, a front stuff mess pocket, and a bottom sleeping back zipper+front U-zipper access. That means it does, however, weigh more.

    Is the old Anti Gravity system better? Cooler?

    • @Enwild
      @Enwild  3 года назад +2

      Hi James! That is certainly a matter of personal preference, however the most notable difference is the transition from the suspended mesh backpanel to the Airscape suspension. Some may find this more supportive and/or possibly less breathable, but Osprey found that the Airscape suspension and design was more universal and could more easily adapt to fit more individuals.

    My pack came with the internal divider unclipped. How can I reclip it?

    • @Enwild
      @Enwild  Год назад +1

      Hi Robert! We would recommend opening the front panel zipper for better access to the divider. You will then have to rethread the divider webbing through the buckle. If you need any additional assistance, feel free to reach out to us at support@enwild.com.

    im curious about your size, and the pack size you chose. They only come in s/m or l/xl it seems and torso wise im right on the edge of their suggested sizing

    • @Enwild
      @Enwild  2 года назад +3

      Thanks for your questions! The Small/Medium fits torsos 17"-21", and the Large/Xlarge: 20"-23". In general, most pack manufactures recommend sizing down if in between sizes. This is ensures that you are able to make adjustments by tightening straps (which cannot be done if you are at the lowest settings). A 20" torso would be best fitted in a S/M, and a 21" torso could fit in either. Hope that helps!

    Does the detachable pack turn into a small backpack? This is extremely useful not sure why they got rid of it.

    • @Enwild
      @Enwild  Год назад +1

      Hello, this pack does feature the removable day lid, which does convert into a convenient daypack with shoulder straps and a sternum strap. Thanks for asking!

    • @IIrandhandleII
      @IIrandhandleII Год назад

      @@Enwild is that a feature exclusive to the "plus" bag?

    • @Enwild
      @Enwild  Год назад +1

      @@IIrandhandleII That's correct! This feature is only found on the Men's Aether plus and the Women's Ariel plus series of packs.

    • @smallego8068
      @smallego8068 Год назад +1

      @@Enwild Is the volume of the daypack included in the volume size? So is the main backpack of the 70s model actually 70L or do I need to subtract the size of the daypack?

    • @Enwild
      @Enwild  Год назад +2

      @SmallEgo The day pack is actually the pack lid converted into a day pack and is included in the total volume of the pack. When the lid is attached to the main pack the extra space of the day pack is stuffed back into the lid.

    can someone expliain the diffrence between the aether and aether plus please ?

    • @Enwild
      @Enwild  2 года назад +1

      The Aether Plus has a few extra features, such as the trekking pole attachments and removable daypack/lumbar pack, as well as some additional external storage options. It also weighs a bit more, and the removable daypack changes the shape and packing structure a little bit. It would be good for more extended trips where that extra organization would come in handy.

    How do you assemble the "Daylid" backpack portion?

    • @RaleighLittles
      @RaleighLittles 2 года назад +1

      There's no way to attach the backpack (daylid) straps to anything, they just hang loose. There is no buckle on the bottom end of the backpack strap: i.imgur.com/WfFSZye.jpg

    • @Enwild
      @Enwild  2 года назад +2

      Hi, thanks for your question! The end of the daypack straps will have a small plastic connector (shown in your image provided), which you push through the eyelets of each corner of the bag.

    S/M or L/XL?

    • @Enwild
      @Enwild  2 года назад +1

      Most pack manufacturers recommend selecting size based on torso measurement, rather than height or weight. If you have never measured your torso before, here’s a video demonstration: trailsense.enwild.com/how-to-measure-your-torso-for-backpack-fitting/.

    Unfortunately, the build quality especially the frame on which these backpacks are built is extremely low quality. It's sad to see a company that was once respected its quality becoming yet another bucket shop turning out junk!
