    Really good information on what you need to do to get to Bear Lake. Didn't know that about 'parks'. Cool. Aww, that's sad about the Big Kahuna. Love seeing the herd. WOW! Great tips. Sprague and Bear Lake are gorgeous. Moose are amazing creatures, but you are right, they are dangerous. You had some amazing shots throughout the video. Thanks.

    • @ColoradoMartini
      @ColoradoMartini  2 года назад +1

      Thank you so much. Yes loser very dangerous. A couple and the two dogs were just attacked yesterday down the way from my house. They were simply walking the dogs. Both are in the hospital and the dogs are okay. But they had to put the moose down and the calf that the moose was protecting will probably end up starving. It's very sad

    I love hiking around Bear Lake, but we continue on the trail and head past Nymph, Dream and then up to Emerald Lake. I have just sat up by Emerald Lake for a few hours and enjoyed the view. It is such a beautiful area. I have never seen a moose there, but I have seen plenty of elk. Trail Ridge Road is awesome, but then again I am not afraid of heights!! Great tips!

    Many many thanks! I was just discussing with Gypsy Lynn about our reservation to Bear Lake. We got ours for 10AM. I'm hoping that will be early enough. I know the Trail Ridge Road is going to be something for her, depending if it rains, I may end up just doing the smaller loop. I do not want to be on that road when its raining. We've been through that once before on Going To The Sun Road with rain and fog. Very very informative! Kudos on the video!

    Have a couple questions that before I asked him this park is absolutely beautiful. And thank you for sharing it with us. Question number one the outfit died was that of old age did they say that they tell you? Question number to the Stanley Hotel have you guys stay there and if you did was it haunted? Sorry one more question I should have said three. If I were to go there I could not take my service dog there with me? Once again thank you so much for the videos and all the info you shared it was awesome🥰🤗👍👍👍👍

    • @ColoradoMartini
      @ColoradoMartini  2 года назад +1

      The Big kahuna elk died of old age. A couple of wildlife photographers came across him after he died. He was very famous in these parts. Yes we have stayed in the Stanley and we've done a couple of videos on the hotel. I personally have not experienced anything. I am not sure about service dogs. I'm sure they have something on their website about it. But the purpose is for the safety of the dog and they're humans. Just yesterday a couple and they're two dogs were stopped by a mom moose. They ended up having to put the moose down. Now her calf will probably die too of starvation. And the husband and wife are in the hospital. The dogs were able to run off. Moose are very threatened by dogs. And the elk will go after him also.

    • @rosebissWildGooseNews

      @@ColoradoMartini 🥰🤗 thank you for answering the questions. Yes I do know you did a couple of videos on the Stanley Hotel but I couldn't remember whether you spotted any ghosts or heard any noises. I guess service dogs would not go well with moose or bear I can see your point. Just today I was checking the Virginia Beach Park system to see which ones had cabins for rent and dog friendly. I know there's laws to protect theorist dogs so they can stay with their animals. But they're also certain restrictions. I really loved your video sweetie thank you so much💞💓👍👍👍

    Thank you for the information! My wife and I are planning on visiting in late September to early October. Based on your experience do you think most of the trails will still be open? I know the weather can get unpredictable during that time of the year.

      You are right. The weather is unpredictable. Trail Ridge rd most likely will be closed. So anything off of that road I would not count on. Otherwise, the park is wonderful in the fall. We have a whole playlist on RMNP and there are several videos on the fall.

      It's on Highway 36. When you start seeing the valley start looking for it on your right. It comes up very quickly. And you have to pull off very quickly in a stream of cars. When you pass Jellystone campground you are almost to the point where you where you are going to see the valley.

      My pictures are from year round in all my Rocky Mountain national Park videos. I live a half hour away. I believe that these pictures were taken anywhere from spring to summer. My favorite time of year here is spring and fall. you will catch rut in fall. When the elks are mating and colors explode
