    Bless you Mark. You give so many anglers such quality entertainment between you and Harry and your banter and naturally funny jokes combined with being naturally gifted anglers. I only just discovered your videos in the last 6 months or so and I absolutely love it. Ive been fishing for 30 odd years and although I started as a match angler, I came through the same channels to carp fishing, like most others. Anyway, "nobody does it better" when it comes to humour in fishing as you mate. Long may it continue and I hope you have a wonderful life in angling. You really deserve it. as they say in Goodfella's "I ammuse you? I make you laugh? You think I'm funny?" Well yes, actually, I do!!

      I bet you are. I go to a stream in the south which has produced some good two's and my mate (the lucky git) managed a 3lber a couple of years ago. Some big roach in there too well over the 2lb mark.

      mark i always watch your challange vids,there a great you tube watch,,and i know that people send them in ,ive been wanting to give you a challange, should you be up to it !,,and i think its a good un !,,, its called earn your stripes, and no its not catch a 4lb perch, its this,- you have to get some of the fox A team, names in a hat,
      maker,bartlett,hughes etc etc , then harry pick one out, then you have to fish against the other carper at a venue that both of you have never fished before, and both of you have got to want to win!,, and to make that more so, there could be a small prize and boobie prize or something, maybe a funny tshirt , or harry has to choose a forfit, to get you back for spraying his bivvy etc, like wear a pink dress for the next challange,or what ever harry wants, and to make it more so you couuld have to sign a waver to harry at the start ,that if you loose, he gets to choose something, now as you know some of your team are bagging machines, so it wont be easy, hence EARN YOUR STRIPES man,

    Finally got to the end (between shifts), great video. Your lake looks a lot different from when I fished it 18 years ago and caught my PB 10lb 6oz bream after a 24 hour session. Totally agree with you on Grayling, if you ever fancy a day on the Swale give us a shout.

    Wonderful video, looking forward to more. One observation would perhaps be to try a slightly stiffer quiver tip or pay out a big bow in the line to reduce the initial loading on the tip, if it's hooped right over you're going to struggle to see those finer bites as the tip basically doesn't have any more give.

    • @MarkPitchers
      @MarkPitchers  6 лет назад +1

      Hi mate, glad you liked he vid! Yeah I had peeled out a bow and was using a 2oz carbon tip rather than the softer glass ones, the problem was there was just too much debris coming down stream which was gathering on the line within seconds (which was why the tip looked hooped over) and after a minute it was a case of having to recast..

    • @DjDolHaus86
      @DjDolHaus86 6 лет назад

      Ahh right, yeah I can see how that'd be a problem without a good solution. Cracking bit of angling none the less, some lovely fish and congratulations on your pb.

      Mark Pitchers most of us can only dream of owning a lake but most arent aware of how much it costs to set up and maintain. Friend of mine owns sapphire and he keeps pumping money into it but I think he's going to make the venue even more fantastic than it already is. If your even near notts this summer I know of a great venue to catch some chunks on the surface 😉

      Hey up mate! Yeah I saw you, you're a fooking unit! There's plenty of good waters in Yorkshire now. Day ticket wise you've got Ladywood Lakes which has lots of carp up to 40lb+. Eric's Willows, which is an absolute chunk factory with several 50lb+ fish. There's loads of venues, it all depends on what you'd like; lots of fish, or the chance of a real big un ;)

      @thomasthetankengine2257 6 лет назад

      Mark Pitchers I did have a go on Eric’s willows but people had 2 cameras on their boats and I couldn’t compete with it. I’m gonna have another try I think some things have been changed slightly so when it opens I’ll go up for a few blanks 😂

      Really glad you enjoyed watching it Lee. Yes I'm actually excited now about all the changes at my lake, it gives me chance to do the things I wish I'd done first time round. Actually it was little Alex in the background, he's the guy responsible for editing this little piece, he's posh like Harry too!

    Really enjoyed that Mark, fantastic grayling, quite dark in colour and well behaved (loved the John Wilson pose haha) was it Harry's idea to up the target by any chance? Bummer about the fish kill I'm sure you will get it back on track, even at '40' you will have plenty of time to reap the rewards for you hard work. Two lovely looking daughters you have and one seems to have artistic abilities well beyond her age!

    gday mark I enjoyed that little series I'm a new subscriber. Here in Australia fisherman don't like carp, its a bit of a pain I like carp fishing! but in the native waters around were in live there do a lot of damage. But in the ponds it's a different story I put back the carp so I can catch them agene. I have got some over 12 to 15lb before I was wounding if you can help me? with a carp I court in one of my vids on carp fishing I court one I don't no if it's a gold fish or some thing different. Please if not that's ok any way nice vid tight lines and remember to keep fishing fun.

      I'm now the fishery manager at my local lakes mate and have had problems with D.O and ammonia lately so I know how you feel fella. I have just started implementing things that will help and new changes are always exciting even though it means a lot of hard work. We created a wild flower meadow on our lakes last year from the silt out of one lake and it is starting to look amazing. Probably some of the most fertile soil in Norfolk right now under all this snow. I look forward to watching your video diaries mate. I've always enjoyed watching the challenge etc and think you are an inspiring angler. Nice to see you target different species as well.
