I made this and found it to be quite small, even while most mask patterns are too large for me. It fits the face snug but you cannot talk when wearing it as it moves up/down.
@@hugelunatic3322 thanks for letting us me know how you for this mask. I didnt want to be using materials and it not working. I have designed my own style that fits great over the nose and comes and got way under the chin, you can talk in it and even open mouth a fair bit, just doing 3 sizes for myself, my parents and then others in the family that have a slightly larger face. It seems to be the best to date and I have tryed around 6-7 different ones.
Hi dear! You are right one size is never appropriate for all. The size must be small for you, if it went under the chin ,you wouldn't face this problem..

I made your mask and I absolutely love it! The only difference was the fabric I used was a soft t-shirt type material with a layer of polypropylene material on the inside. 👍
This looks simple enough. What type of fabric do you use for the center ? I checked a few other of your videos but I don’t see a material list. Thank you.
In the time it takes to download, print, and cut, one can measure out and cut the pattern. Some "timesaving measures" really only change what you spend the time doing.
Not sure if this will help, but did you add the seam allowance, I noticed it was added after the pattern. I haven’t completed mine but I added 1/4 inch seam allowance. I’ll see the fit when I finish.
Mine was small too. I will just add to pattern like you said. the one I finished fit my six year old niece. And she loves it ! Thanks for this pattern and tutorial it’s beautiful
@@bonbonmonel9571 Thanks for your interest. Yes , after the pattern, have added 1 cm for seam . The final product measures 13.5 cm × 13.5 cm . You can measure from mid nose to a little under the chin for the final measurement that will be needed for you. I hope it helps. Thanks !
Love it, I will try it right now. My poor brother hi is broken his glasses every time he need to take his mask off (the one with elastic). Thank you so much 🙏😘😘
And what is the stitch width? Its all nice you have cool pattern there if no one has any idea whether you sew 7mm, 10mm or for all I know 15mm from the fabric edge. You have left so much out in this video :(
Thanks for your interest. Actually, the stitching goes exactly over the paper pattern cut out. However, while cutting the fabric it's up to you how much allowance you prefer cutting off it.
@@almendraloppez Reminder to take 1 cm seam margin. I think some miss out on that one in video and size turns out to be small. Otherwise too modification may be needed according to individual sizes
I have made one now and find it doesn't work well for me. The chin tuck is very bulky with 3 layers in it when you seam it all together. Also time consuming to poke the strap ends in to insert elastic or make a nice end when going to sew on the velcro. It would be better to show several people wearing the finished mask so you can see how it should be worn - it was only in reading all these comments that I found the strap is to go over the ears. The finished mask doesn't seal well around the chin. I will have to keep looking for a better pattern.
Actually one size doesn't fit all. I hope you kept the 1 cm seam margin while cutting the fabric as in video. If it didn't go under the chin ,then the size is small and needs modification.Straps will hold if the mask fits properly. Posted the pic . Please check the link given in description box.
@@ShimmeryAndGlittery Yes, I had 1 cm s.a. The 3rd layer would cause less bull if it was sewn together with one of the outer layers as an underlining, then the tucks would nest together and cause less bulk. I think the finished size of the mask should be added as text to the early part of the video so as person can compare it to their face. And once again, please add a photo of someone wearing it to the video.

I muted the video (not everyone has the same taste in music) and changed the playback settings to slower or faster whenever it's needed. The pause button is also handy when you're sewing and watching the tutorial. Just some tricks I've learned along the way. 😉
Can’t a tutorial just be instructional without the loud over-the-top music background and the looong intros? I want looking for something else about 3 seconds into this. Sorry. Don’t give me bling just give me the info
Gracias por supuesto que lo haré. Me encantó que no es en las orejas porque de tanto usar cubrebocas ya molestan un poco. Felicidades.

Elastic can be placed towards the inside and sewn. When it is turned inside out there will be a clean seam. Thank you nice design.
Thank You!
Thanks for the pattern!

Very cute mask. I think tho I'll modify my current mask so I can do the strap. I need a bigger adult sized one . That is so much

I looked at the photo of you wearing it. Since it's under your hair, I still can't figure out how it is sitting on your head. Above or below the ears?

Yellow fingernail polish keeps distracting me from catching the measurements. After three tries, no thank you
Pretty.....but I like printable patterns not having to do all of this measuring
First world problems lol. You only have to do it one time.

The pleats at the chin is an attempt to give it a different design. It fits well and looks good.
One strap is not good enough to hold it against your face for full protection.
