Hi small correction at the start of the vid, you say to take War Caster to bump Con to 16, but I think you may have been thinking of Resilient, as War Caster just gives advantage on concentration checks, and Resilient gives +1 to an ability and proficiency in it's saving throw
Any reason that everything you do here can not be done a bit better by a Spore druid instead? All the spells you used were on the standard druid spell list I think, and other than access to spells not on the druid spell list, the land druid only really gets an out of combat spell slot restore and immunity to frightened (which is redundant with Hero's Feast). So, if you are only giving up that, you could get a metric ton of temp HP in it's place, extra damage, and access to other unique spells and features such as unique zombies. I want to like the land druid, so I am honestly asking if I am missing something here.
Because I’ve already done a Pure Druid build and now it was time for a Land Druid as I’m working through all the sub classes. That’s about it, I think a Spore Druid personally is 100x better than a land Druid honestly
@NewDengs ah, shame that. Hard to hate on Larian after they did such a good job rebalancing the classes and how most of the subclasses are implemented very well. That said, there seem to be a few that just missed the mark like Wild Magic Barbarian, Champion Fighter, and Circle of the Land Druid.
I think the issue is, that some classes at tabletop are more RP focused or not just combat focused etc. for example I love the Outlander Rogue subclass on tabletop, but if it was in BG3, everyone would complain it’s too weak compared to Assassin, or Thief etc
@@cjd2889 Yh I play 5e too so theoretically it should work?, but BG3 can be janky as you know, if it does though, that could be an awesome multiclass to build
Yes, in that you could recover the spell slot used by Smite and the full caster progression would increase the number of spell slots you had. The only janky part I have come across with Paladin smites and spell slots in general is when trying to use Warlock spell slots to smite with. You can do it, but only after you use up the standard spell slots first if they are of equal level as your warlock spell slots. that issue goes away when the warlock slots begin to out level the paladin's though.
You should do summons first then Heroes Feast so the summons get the feast benefits too
Ohhh I didn’t even think of that… that’s a game changer!
Thanks
Your welcome

That’s exactly what I meant! Funny enough, I’ve made about 10 of these builds use Res Con and now I finally say the wrong one 😂
2 lvls in sorc for concentration proficiency considering 90%of your spells are of that variety.
No because then it’s not a pure build and you’ve missed the entire point of the video

Plant growth and spike? Naw bro. Boot spike growth now that you have plant (which frees up a SUPER FOOKN VALUABLE CONCENTRATION SLOT!!!!!)
Nope I stand by having both, both are very useful to have in different situations
Plant growth gets destroyed by fire. Spike growth doesn’t.
Question: Could you use Natural recovery, multiclass with paladin to recover smite slots?
Without testing it, I don’t think so? But I’m eager to find out now
@@NewDengs I know BG3 doesn't follow 5e to the letter, but in 5e you can use any spell slots from any casting class to smite.
