i honestly feel bad for the character those monsters created here. they wrote him in a terrible light but pulled from that context, a deeply religious man that was clockwork orange'd into believing even the most chaste of desires to be a direct equivalent to violent rape struggling with his programming in the face of a woman he has genuinely fallen in love with is absolutely heartbreaking. he must absolutely loathe himself. bishop rubbing that shit in his face is very bishop
im not sure whether you changed both of their faces to the muscle luigi texture or if (incredibly believable) changing bishop's face texture affected almost every other male face in the mod bc they're all identical
i don't know all of the religions in tes and ik that nothing in this mod is lore friendly but i honestly can't think of any gods or goddesses or daedra who would require a very serious vow of abstinence and chastity? they could just write him in as a vigilant of stendarr but there's nothing about chastity with them either? i don't think really any of the divines have chastity vows, i mean dibella actively encourages her worshippers to have sex
Maybe he's just really stupid and THINKS he needs to take this Vow while literally everyone in his order is like "you dont gotta do that" but he doesn't listen because he's thinking of she/her pussy
Yep, it's another example of how out of place the mod feels in the world of Skyrim, and how it was very obviously just ripped from a completely different game with completely different lore.
I could imagine one could come up with the idea of a sect or something like that tied to a divine that could go for aestheticism but then again thinking how that would work in TES beyond it being a small obscure group? I can only imagine most of it would be more of something like "refrain from doing things that'd please a Daedric Prince like Sanguine" than actual vows for abstinence when a Daedric Prince won't give a care for every mortal there is to mess with. And even then, Casavir being a paladin and all wouldn't make sense in TES but what can one expect from a character whose name and class is literally taken from Neverwinter Nights 2?

Besides the very clear Judge Claude Frollo vibes (which commenter Pink Death already pointed out), I'm not the only one that was waiting for him to have fantasies of killing the DB, right? Like, I kept waiting for him to envision himself running his sword through her chest to get rid of the extreme temptation/obsession he felt being in her presence. The entire chronicle from like Chapter 3 onward was just tinged with terror for me.

To be honest I think it's not self-aware because erotica written by people who actually are aware of their fetishes often make significantly less apologies for being problematic. Like I've read actual Dubcon fetish stuff and frankly the only ones capable of shaming those writers are their fictional husbands anyone and everyone else would probably be screwed. Meanwhile Skyrim Romance bends over backwards to try and please everyone to the point where whole segments were rewritten or taken out. An actual fetishist would have ignored the criticism,laughed at it or added more Dubcon just to fuck with people more. An actual fetishist also would not fight so often about the mod "not needing a mature rating" in fact they'd already have slapped a trigger warning on it the second it was released publically.
Pro tip! When writing one character being attracted to another character, if from the prose you can't tell whether they want to fuck them or *eat* them, you need to stop writing! Preferably permanently!!

My first assumption about the circumstances of Bishop's brother's death is maybe Casavir offered clemency to his brother but in reality had an ambush set up to catch them both, thus resulting in the death of Bishop's brother. I think it's more likely that this mod's writing takes itself seriously, because I feel like satire would make it more clear that it is satire in SOME way but that might be wishful thinking on my part. But damn, I wish my crispy irises pulsated.
