    Beautiful knife, Rob! FYI, pf = polished flats

      Polished flats… got it. I suspect there is a whole decoder ring on this.

    I just sold a mini nf because of the size. The design of the Arius is best in its original size.

      I do agree but I suspect the non-flipper will be better for the Mini Arius. But with a flipper, the full size is so good! 🤜💥🤛🫡

    I love my arius. The action is literally my benchmark for new knives these days

      @@Robs_Nerdy_Knives I have my first large inkosi coming in that which is going to be a totally different action. I’ve had 2 zaans and a small pj sebenza tanto and I just love the smoothness Tim gets out of everything they make. Perfection for a work knife imo.

      @Sleepy_spartan717 it’s great and mine is breaking in and I’m getting drop shut action and am toward that top flip soon like I did on my Umnumzaan. 🤜💥🤛

      @@Robs_Nerdy_Knives I still need to polish my washers. But it’s still front flippable with some wrist. It’s super smooth though

    So stinkin cool. I was in between the mini and the regular arius, but i thought maybe having a flipper delete on the mini would be worth trying first so I can choke up or have a more comfortable grip . So I just sent off my first knife to be modded 😎 thank you for sharing and very interested in the full review

      Oh, that’s cool. I’m very curious what you think. I was tempted to do that, too, before I traded it.

    There's two basic blades one's brightwashed which is a shiny stonewash and then there's burnished which is the one you have with polish flats They both have polish flats great score!! CF Arius is definitely a favorite of mine!! Definitely prefer the full size over the mini 👊🏼

      Yeah, I had the mini and with the flipper, it was not a regular carry.

    Beautiful knife. But do you think the 990$ price tag is justified? I’m on the fence about getting this, it just seems very overpriced.

    • @everythingsharp
      @everythingsharp 3 месяца назад +2

      My next question is, would you rather spend 900+ on this or 900$ on the Oz Rosevelt XL?

    • @Robs_Nerdy_Knives
      @Robs_Nerdy_Knives  3 месяца назад +1

      So I own an Oz Machine Rosie that I love and this fully milled Carbon Fiber scaled Arius… I do believe the Arius is justified. I have no interest in the Rosie XL, as mine is the perfect size. Having owned the Mini Arius, the full sized Arius makes sense to me for the ergos that I like.

    The carbon fiber looks super nice but I don't get why they are charging $1000 plus for it. I wouldn't think it would cost anymore to make a carbon scale over a milled out titanium scale. Anyway it's a fantastic looking knife👍🇺🇲💪💯💵💥ER🤘

    • @Robs_Nerdy_Knives
      @Robs_Nerdy_Knives  3 месяца назад +1

      Because it a full chunk of exquisite carbon fiber milled and contoured with precision detail. There’s a lot of details that USA precision mid-tech CNC’ing requires. And costs have gone up, so it is what it is. With thinner carbon fiber scales over Ti liners you have less material involved so it is less costly when voids are encountered that fails QC. Material imperfections from Mid-tech/custom knife makers add higher shrinkage/QA reject losses when dealing with more complex materials. That is why certain variants of carbon fiber and especially Fat Carbon carbon fiber just cost a lot more. They add levels of unpredictability to manufacturing.
