This is a fun little plane to fly for sure. I had a 4mph cross wind for my maiden which was very fun to get a good landing, I enjoyed watching you.

Glad for you to have so much fun and enjoying the longer evenings, Gary. The Waco is a fantastic little plane that flies awesome and can fly so slow, that you need to keep from trying to stop it mid air 😂. The landings are a bit hard when you get so slow, especially to keep it straight. I have the same problem, but now I know that it is doable 😉 Thanks for the beautiful presentation!
It can do superb knife edges as well, and you are right: It is so much easier when looking from behind.
Mine is ballooning pretty much, the slower it gets and when compensating it with ele trim, you need to be prepared to pull when throttling up. Maybe a bit too much motor tilt? I’m not sure. Yours looked great after trimming!
And another logical side effect (on mine) is, that you must not push the elevator when upside down, but rather pull, which feels pretty weird and counter-intuitive. Still it flies very well upside down and even at slow speeds and angle of attack a bit too high, it doesn’t stall - so far at least (touch wood).

Love the waco one of the sexiest bi planes of all times and yes loving the longer days here as well good to shake off the frost and get flying. I have the red dynam waco and it looks beautiful in the air and a good flyer and definitely see that yellow umx in my future thanks for the video GPG.
