Important question: Can you power off the device from the Unifi Site Manager and bring back on the device with Wake On Lan?? Like I can do with my Synology NAS?
It was in stock for far longer than their new products usually are. Usually they sell out within an hour or two, these were 6 hours or so, they must have had a massive production ready to go this time. These are the drives I installed amzn.to/3Atmo00
This is cool. So tempting to migrate from my synology. Does it have the ability to connect to cloud storage such as azure, aws, onedriver etc.. I wish it could be the storage location for UNIFI PROTECT
While it can't host plex or be an NVR, you can easily run the software on a PC and point the the NAS for storage.
Also remember this is their first NAS product and early feature set. Hopefully with future revisions it will be more robust.
Can you tell me if it has the option to put the HDDs into hibernation after a certain period of inactivity?

The solution is a bit young ... no RAID6 ? Can this solution saturate a 10 Gig connection when copying huge files ? There is more test to do ...
thanks for this amazing video man
Appreciate it! Glad you enjoyed it.
I just ordered one this morning and already sold out now. Which Seagate Iron Wolf hard drive did you install?

It can backup to Google Drive or OneDrive. So far I have not seen anything to suggest support for Protect footage but one can hope
If i have the unas pro and map the network drives to my stand alone plex server. Can I point the library to the nas folders and stream to clients?
That would require further testing. But if the Plex server is able to mount the drives via SMB or NFS then there's a good chance it will connect
thats my plan. ordered one and going to do this for my plex lib
@@tabGeeks Thanks mate, Very curious on how the performance would be.
Can you authenticate users against Microsoft 365?
Yep through UniFi Identity
