Best way I’ve found to see how blocked is the heater matrix. At the kitchen sink run the tap until water is scalding. Run the water through the matrix and feel where it’s hot and where it’s cold. If it’s hot all over it’s good. You have to do this quickly, otherwise conduction just heats the whole matrix.
Hi sandy I don’t know if you know this or if it will help with a fix but hybrid and EV vehicles need a special non-conductive anti-freeze. Cheers Derek
Sandy ive had this problem a absolute nightmare, the electric water pumps are bad for failing the harness get water inside plug stops it circulating , you need to run the car in charge mode and it will self bleed then you need to drive the car also check the filter in the hose that goes to the matrix it gets clogged , you can go into the scanner and run the water pump to bled off the air , hope that helps any , good luck
best way to fill an ev coolant system is by using a vacuum coolant filler, rather inexpensive, also chk your scantool, may offer a purge/bleed function.

Excellent detective work, Sandy and Roddy. So, this 2019 Mitsubishi OPHEV only uses a PTC heater for the cabin, and there's no heat pump?
Correct No Heat pump but the cab is heated by electric heater and engine heat
