I'll fuck with Evanescence all day any day. Raggedy whining syphilitic camel sounding ass ... There were maybe four or five good songs in their entire catalog and Amy Lee sounds like she's been taking hot dicks to the throat for three weeks straight with no vocal protection when she "performs" live. She requires engineering and sound editing to make her "music" sound good. There is only one live performance she does where she doesn't make me want to pour bleach in my ears and that is a performance that is mostly held up by Lizzy Hale.
This is my opinion, of course, but I will fuck with Evanescence. They are not untouchable but Nightwish pretty much is. They are not on the same level, never have and never will be.
Also, Amy Lee is a trash person who treats her fans as if she's entitled to them instead of appreciating them because without them she'd probably be a waitress at Denny's or some shit (no offense to Denny's employees in any way, y'all are awesome!) She can go back to chugging cock and stop pretending to be a good singer. My tone deaf 8 year old sings better than her.

Since you started this journey, here are some info that may help you navigate (a short history of the band, concentrated by Ann Waychoff):
Nightwish was started in 1996.They are considered a female fronted symphonic metal band. They are from Finland.
Tuomas Holopainen, the keyboard player, composes and writes the lyrics for 95% of their music. Marco Hietala is the Bassist and vocals .And there is the guitarist Emppu Vuorinen . Then there is Troy Donockley from UK who is a multi-instrulmentalist and vocals. Jukka Nevalainen is the drummer. In 2015 due to Jukka's health issues Kai Hahto became the drummer and as of now is a permanent addition.
Nightwish has had three singers. 1st one was Tarja Turunen (Operatic vocals). She was with them until 2005. The 2nd one was Anette Olzon from Sweden (Poppy, strong vocals). She was with them until 2012.The 3rd and current singer is Floor Jansen, from Netherlands (power, operatic, soprano.....most versatile) - you just saw her.
There are live concerts that you should use depending on what era. From Wishes to Eternity and End of an Era (Tarja), Montreux Festival live 2012 and Exit Festival (Anette), Live at Wacken 2013, Live at Wembley, Live at Tampere, Vehicle of Spirit live (Floor). I hope this helps.

Seriously though, they are amazing, just ask Steve Harris, the founder, principal composer & bassist/keyboardist of the world's all time greatest metal band IRON MAIDEN. This is what he said about Tuomas Holopainen (yhe keyboardist & principal composer/songwriter) & Nightwish with Anette (their vocalist before Floor Jansen, who sing in this Wacken 2012 show) in 2015 before he had even heard their latest album "Endless Forms Most Beautiful" with the world's best female metal vocalist (claim many recent polls that one can find in the Internet), the Dutch Floor Jansen; on vocals:
Steve Harris: “When I heard [2007’s] Dark Passion Play, I couldn’t believe it. I thought, ‘Now, this is a proper fucking album.’ It’s got everything bar the kitchen sink in there. It was controversial because of the new singer Anette Olzon, but she was brilliant. No disrespect to Tarja, but Anette’s voice suited them a lot better. There’s heavy stuff, classical, even a bit of Disney - all kinds of shit in there. I think it’s one of the best-sounding albums I’ve ever heard in my life. Then I got the next one, [2011’s] Imaginaerum. Storytime is a fantastic, instant song. The rest of the album took me a while to get into. Dark Passion Play was so good, I thought there was no way they could ever come up with an album that’s anywhere near that, but the more I got into Imaginaerum, the more I loved it. I haven’t heard the new one with Floor Jansen yet, but those two albums for me - I don’t think there’s anything else that I’ve heard out there that’s even close.”

Great reaction. I love how you snapped out of the music trance when floor hit that high not at the end. If you're looking for something more "metal" from them with an amazing guitar solo, I would check out romanticide at the waken 2013 show from them. You won't be disappointed :)
Yeah, Emppu definitely brings it during Romanticide. The intro solo/harmony section with Tuomas from Stargazers at Wembley is also great to see what he can do when he actually cuts loose.
I basically just check out the Ghost Love Score reaction videos to see the reaction to this high note, which is called Floorgasm for a reason :-D

New sub! They do work with an orchestra and choir from London. The tape is played in the background. It would be to expensive to bring everyone on tour. And their tours are usually a year or more.

For a slow and beautiful song: sleeping Sun live at tampere, for a Heavy song: weak fantasy live at tampere or/and yours is an empty Hope live at cruise, for some folk metal: my walden live at tampere, for some beautiful Marco action: kiss while your lips are stil red live at wembley, for the most epic breakdown: storytime live at wacken 😁👍 looking forward to follow your Nightwish journey 👍😊 for the most powerful and heartbreaking song: the poet and the pendulum live at wembley. That song require some background check before your reaction. In short this song is Tuomas suicide. He got so depressed after kicking their first singer (Tarja) out of the band. The fans hated him for it. He spills all his emotions out in this song. They avoid doing it live because its so hard for him. In this performance you see him singing into the sky and emppu(on guitar) and Marco(on bass) going over to him to support him. That performance tears me up every time😪😍

11:00 the Floorgasm brings yet another convert to the family !! 😁 Welcome Brother. You’re one of us now. Just FYI, that’s about 70 minutes into the show and Floor had been killin’ it the whole way already. Also, that’s 82 THOUSAND people hanging on her every note; so, no pressure on her to Bury that high note.... At 6’1 and 170 pounds Floor is a smiling, singing, dancing, enchanting, stage commanding Valkyrie; and to me at least, a gift from above. Seeing the whole video of this concert, Especially the Floorgasm changed my life. It made me start listening to music again. I love watching these reaction videos and my biggest hope is that people follow and enjoy the Symphonic Metal path I was led to. Welcome to it.

The music is called symphonic metal and i very populair in Europe and South America. The band is from Finland and founded 1996. So far the band has had 3 vocalists
1 Tarja Turunen (Finish) pure opera voice also very good live. (until 2005)
2 Anette Olzon (Schwedish) more pop style. fine in the studio but not good live. (until 2012)
3 Floor Jansen* (Dutch) (current). * She is the vocalist you saw in this clip. She has a classical vocal background education and can sing any style she likes from jazz to opera high to growling low. Believe me when i tell you you have not even scratched the surface yet of what she's capable of.

The clip was shot a few months after Floor jointed the band right in the middle of their US leg of the world tour. They asked her to join after tensions between the previous (Anette) vocalist and the rest of the band had rissen so high that they fired her. With close to a year still to go to complete the tour, and their next concert planned 2 day later they, needed a replacement fast. They called Floor because she had toured with them when she was part of the support bands"After Forever" and later "Revamp" on several occasions and they were quiet impressed by her vocals (who would not be?). She only had 2 days, including a flight from the Netherlands to the US, to learn the setlist and only had one rehearsal with the band a couple of hours before her first show and nailed it. Since they were making a documentary about the worldtour a lot of what happened was recorded. I'm a life long, 53 year old male metalhead..... I watched and listened to Nightwish for the first time, in one of the first reaction vids I'd ever watched. It was Ghost Love Score, (Wacken 2013) too..... As soon as I heard Floor's voice, tears started welling up in my eyes, and I actually began to sob, for a few breaths, until I was able to suck it up.... Goosbumps, more tears throughout the song, and that final high note at the end, literally made me sob, uncontrollably. I was dumbfounded and confused! All I could think was, WTF??? I've listened to, and respect many genres of music....No one has ever done that to me! No one!!!! I don't really ever listen to lyrics. It was just the sound of her voice, and what it does it to me! Everytime I hear her in certain songs, or hit certain notes.... I get a shiver down my spine and tears begin to well up. I'm still trying to understand it.... She's simply amazing to me. SUBSCRIBED.

The most epic song of Nightwish (so far) is "The greatest show on earth" live in Tampere. Also here, knowledge of the backstory or better the topic the song is about, makes the experience more intense. 🤘🏻🤘🏼🤘🏽🤘🏾🤘🏿

Some people have criticised the 'basic' guitar work in this song. In this band the guitarist, Empuu Vuorinen, plays just what the song needs. He doesn't blast every spare moment with solo wank. But if you want to see him really shred like a demon check out 'Romanticide' or anything off the 'Oceanborn' album. He's a very accomplished player.

Ghost Love Score is perhaps Nightwish's most unusual composition. It mainly focus's on the Vocal build slowly throughout the whole song, until the climax at the end. Try listening to maybe Romanticide from the same show. It will show you a little bit heavier side of Nightwish.

The Poet and the Pendulum is full of contrasts. I feel for Tuom when they play this live. He's probably thinking that Floor is killing it though.

A great reaction to a great song taken from one of the best concert this band has ever done, and as a great LIVE band that is saying something. You don't just listen to Nightwish NO you EXPERIENCE them and LIVE is the only true way to appreciate them. Here the Dutch dynamo, Floor Jansen had her coming out party with the band in front of 80,000 metal-heads in the great open air festival of Wacken. The symphonic sounds are backtracked over the LIVE performance and were recorded with a LIVE symphony orchestra (London I think), and with Floor's power, range and stage presence make for a truly great LIVE experience. This band doers, Epic songs, Metal, Folk Metal, Ballads, and even some Pop so you need to hear the entire set list from Wacken to appreciate the talent of this band LIVE!!!

I just found out about Unleash the archer's.I know next to nothing about them except I have heard "Awakening" the band is amazing,the singer is very talented also.The first notes of the song had me interested immediately.

Chills. Every. Single. Time. Nightwish is the new right of passage for reactors, and I'm perfectly fine with that. It's an addiction now, for sure. For both reactor and... reactee (?). Floor headbanging gets me every time. Even moreso than the G note she hits, but only just.
