A lot of people don't understand why a paint job costs what it does. As you have shown, it's the hours of prep and hours spent after paint color sanding and buffing. Looks fantastic!!!
I've been restoring mustangs for 15 years now (for own usage, not as a business) The only thing I did not do myself is painting the cars. Thanks to these video's I now dare to try and paint my next project myself. Just going to try it myself.
You should be proud my friend it shows that you don't need a $50,000 paint booth to do the job right, actually, the best paint jobs come out of a garage
Thank you for this. I will absolutely go to 3000 as I cannot believe how good it looks before buffing., Looks like taking it to 3000 not only reduces the amount of buffing needed but more importantly reduces the risks of overheating / burning a panel trying to get something out with the buffer. Hope you do not mind us riding on your coat tails again
@@JoDaddysGarage it's surprising only three coats of clear, how much do you think got sanded off in the sanding process prior to buffing? I am looking forward to you doing a walk around on the finished car :). Looking great!
Jade is Looking Great. You gotta be happy-happy with those results. Thanks for bringing us along for the journey. PS Hope your wife will let you drive her car from time to time lol!
Jade is looking so good! I’m excited to see you finish this and the upcoming Fastback project. Thx for sharing!
Your Mustang looks absolutely fantastic after the color sanding and buffing. It actually looked nice after you painted it the second time.

hi barry looking very good nice work and well dun
Great job as always, the paint shows the level of detail you put into the car. Amazing work.
Great color!
I've been following this car since I signed up years ago and I'm excited to see it finished.
Me too....
The paint looks awsome, Barry, blue or green!!
Looks really good. I always preferred the coupe over the fastback. Missing my 67 that I sold in 91. Can't wait to see it finished.
Wow thats beautiful
All your hard work is "shining" through - looks great
That the money shot ! Looks real good stang 91
I would be scared to go at it with 800 unless I was going to clear it again. Bold move

Looks great. Glad to see that I'm not the only one that uses a slower buffing speed to get great results.

In hindsight, I should have started with 1000 grit.
@@JoDaddysGarage well it looks great, but will do on mine.
Hello very nice job what clear coat did you use and how many coats did you put on it thanks
Valu-pro. 3 coats.

lol
Looks amazing, most hot rod shops charge 10 grand just to paint the car.
Barry jade looks incredibly nice. Looking to seeing it all finished.
Like the 100 dollar bill.
Nice 😎
Looks great!.. did you notice any color changes increased / darkening with the second paint job
I did notice that it was slightly darker.
That turned out beautiful. I know you know where the flaws are but to the rest of us it looks amazing.
Well I went to insta to see if the color came through over there... It's even blue-er in those pics. Looks beautiful.
Greetings
Are you using the same compounds through all stages?
Each stage uses a different compound. I have them listed in the description.
@@JoDaddysGarage That's what I do as well. I thought there might be a new product out I wasn't aware of. Nice job.
Question.. do you have to apply a heavier amount of clear if you plan on starting with 800g
Probably should. What works for me may be risky for others.
Yes I understand that. A novice should start with more matl.
