Latest Audacity can't import a .mp3 ???????, so I'm out. Seems a bit strange in 2024, oh well, probably Windows to blame somewhere down the line. Any pointers to an alternative ??.
@@getTheSchmack Ah, I just figured it out....the current download, and every version 3.5 and after WON'T have that plugin, but you can download it from the other installer, it's a *.NY file. Once you get it, you just put in into the plugin folder and restart the app. (hope that helps). After all that, it doesn't work that great, it just seems to quiet the vocals, not remove them.

And haven't been able to find that option in either one. And it's going to *^$$ me off. I'm trying to remove music from a game I recorded so I can avoid copyright. I wanna keep the vocals. I dont get it. Other youtubers just leave it as is. Either there getting away with it. Or they just don't care. But I do care.

The newest Audacity removes the vocal reduction effect. 3.4.2 has it
