@@getTheSchmack Ah, I just figured it out....the current download, and every version 3.5 and after WON'T have that plugin, but you can download it from the other installer, it's a *.NY file. Once you get it, you just put in into the plugin folder and restart the app. (hope that helps). After all that, it doesn't work that great, it just seems to quiet the vocals, not remove them.
Hi I need to make a question. When I am recording I have latency DURING the recording on my input and I hear my self 2 times. One when i play and 1 when the delayed audio recording begins. How do i fix this? Please help
I'm only going to ask this 1 &@#$%&g time. What version are you using? Because I have downloaded the latest and I have downloaded one from 3 years ago. And haven't been able to find that option in either one. And it's going to *^$$ me off. I'm trying to remove music from a game I recorded so I can avoid copyright. I wanna keep the vocals. I dont get it. Other youtubers just leave it as is. Either there getting away with it. Or they just don't care. But I do care.

Latest Audacity can't import a .mp3 ???????, so I'm out. Seems a bit strange in 2024, oh well, probably Windows to blame somewhere down the line. Any pointers to an alternative ??.
Thanks for your tutorials.. I am just asking how to make the size of recorded files smaller... I recorded a lecture of 2hours with 1Gb size even the original vedio i recorded from is 130 Mb... Thanks in advance.
@@5HISMYLIFE4EVER that's the spot I found it in, for reference I'm on windows 10 audacity 3.6.4 - try the following: 1. open plugin manager under the effects tab 2. search for vocal reduction and isolation 3. enable it, hit ok and restart audacity If it's not there, you might have to hit 'get more effects' to download it or something

Do you have a dedicated sound card like a focus rite to get rid of the latency?

hey everyone, I just updated it today and I was able to find the vocal reduction and isolation effect under the 'special' tab (under effects)
Where? I don't see it under effect under special (it only shows invert, repeat, inverse and truncate silence)
