I always celebrate when fixes and improvements are bring to my favorite sims, been rFactor2, AMS2 or RaceRoom; rFactor2 underlying engine still the best but the surrounding pieces are what may put off people from such a great sim; been AI, graphics, sound, UI; etc. Related to the WEC... well i'm in the no VR no buy camp; hopefully it will have VR implemented and I'll enjoy it; if not I hope at least some of that contend spill off to rFactor2 as DLC.
Finally some AI improvments. We have waited so long for them. Let's hope they continue development of RF2 and offer some nice discounts for the content. BTW Is Silverstone back as they had to remove it I believe?
I still consider rF2 an ISI and later Studio 397 game and the new LMU a Studio 397 game. MSG acquired the licenses, which was very welcome. People are angry/frustrated at MSG because they screwed up Nascar Ignition 21 and bought the Indycar license, without producing a proper Indycar game yet. But the Indycars in rF2 and AMS2 are available anyway.
Thank you, and also how do I stop the car from going backwards or forwards in rfactor 2? There are cars that seem to be spinning around on the track or have very low rear or front ends, I can't even touch a car because the car asks for control! these BTCC 90 cars and the DTM are an example of this. Can you help me with this?
Post I made on reddit about my hopes for WEC games when asked "Extremely hopeful whilst being realistic. Given how rf2 needs so little to be right at the top edge of the sim platform world, I have to be hopefully that eventually they realise this and make what would be a few months worth of work to turn it around. So maybe this is the title for the mainstream that they recognise the basic usability issues, and fix them. As the graphics, performance, physics, ffb etc is already all done well enough. Just that final push needed. super super hopeful, but also Reiza 1.5 physics updates + lemans confirmed for AMS2 as backup lol"
The game should really be better optimised. It pushes even the high end gpus at 4K which really should be a lot more efficient. Motorsports have done a lot to get it e where it is but really could be a lot more.
errr no, it barely touches the GPU. It's massively bottlenecked by the CPU - probably from all those physics calculations the game is lauded for. But it's also not natively oculus enabled and that's always good for like 25% performance
rFactor 2 is king

That's gone forever. I understand Silverstone themselves were trying to charge MSG way over market rate

Dear RUclips, you should show this video to more and more people #justsaying
So you like this style of video, Lewis? I'm really trying with this type of thing across the Sims I tend to frequent.
@@pitlanesI havnt kept up with the latest goings on for rf2 so was nice to have a little short but sweet catch up.
I haven't really noticed much difference in the AI in this fix ?
They are sweating because AMS2 is dropping v1.5 in a few days!
I honestly don't think that has anything to do with it 🤷♂️
😂😂😂 no
@@pitlanes IT HAS EVERYTHING TO DO WITH IT. lol jk
@@ezpz4659even if Reiza fix the wonky physics in AMS2, it’s unlikely to take players away from RF2.
Even with that update, I still keep going back to RF2.
Didnt fix the AI crashing into the Safety Car
I've never seen that 🤣
I don't know if these changes are being made for LMU but this video needs more doom and gloom.
