(Full Flight Review) United Airlines 757-200 First Class Review

- Back in October of 2019, I took a flight on a 20 year old Boeing 757-200. The Business Class Cabin is in a 2-2 Configuration. These are BE Aerospace diamond seats, they are a common type of business class seat on United’s wide-body fleet. These seats are found on the Ex-Continental Boeing 777-200’s, the 767-300’s, and the 767-400’s. These Business Class seats are being phased out to bring in the new and stylish Polaris Business Class seats. The 757-200 will not receive the new Polaris, but they are receiving a retrofit for a more modern cabin.

Been on 6 different 757's: 2 -300's and 4 -200's. More than almost any aircraft type. The most recent such flight was MCO to EWR on N41140, one unit before this one, and in the opposite direction.
Quite a rough departure. I have never seen anything like that before. I'm surprised they couldn't find a part departure path but hey fun rollercoaster
You know the engine roar is satisfying when a 757 sounds like an A320 on takeoff
Full throttle; higher pitched than usual so sounds just like a V2500-powered A320.
That is definitely a full throttle takeoff. Can see how much progress has happened on the new Terminal 1 at Newark. That lead attendant’s humor is definitely straight out of Southwest or Spirit. And yes that is a very turbulent takeoff climb. A few years back I got a bumpy takeoff out of Newark; it’s in my United A320 video (flight UA414) from Newark to New Orleans.

I flew on AAs 757 right before they retired them!! I sat in Business also. It was awesome!! I can’t wait to watch your review of United’s 757!
What a heavy departure. Flying on a B757 was my best business class experience, scince Qatar 777. I flew from Lima to Newark, in a 8 hour flight. Did a trip report on it. Was the best experience that I've had. Also have a video of that trip, also before pandemic. So sad that US airlines are getting rid of it on domestic flights.
I’m glad that I did this flight, I’ve flown on the Boeing 757 so many times. Especially when I was younger.

I haven’t been to that United Club, but there should be showers in clubs at their major hubs.

How expensive are these first class seats on average?
These seats can range from $188 to $1,040. This my seat was sold as domestic first. On transcontinental flights this seat is around $659. On Hawaii flights this seat is $1,040. This my seat was somewhere around $262 because it was a shorter flight. The average price is for this seat is $629.

He gave us a heads up before we pushed back from the gate. It was extremely windy that day!
